Sun shadow volume of 3D analyst
Hello everyone,
I am doing a project to analyze the shading effect of a building. I want to use the Sun shadow volume of 3D analyst but there are some errors and no result given out.
I try to import different data but there are errors that the sun shadow volume is not created.
As the building model that I had is a IFC model, I first import the layers of IFC model to create the shadow.
Second, I try to save the data of the IFC as a multipatch but it cannot works.
Then, I try to create a extruded building model then import it to do the shadow analysis. There is no result.
The result message are that the output feature class is empty and the error is 999999 that error executing function. It is failed to execute the Sun shadow volume.
Please help me to solve the problems as I am a beginner of using 3D analyst, thanks a lot.
