Multipart multipatch to singlepart multipatches

I have a multipatch (building 53) which is comprised of buildings which are logically singlepart polygons. I am using ArcGIS Pro, the multipatches are generated from Terrasolid, which means that the roofforms are very detailed and not enclosed. I also have an Esri's 3D Basemaps Solution, FME and all the Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst tools.

How do I use multipart to singlepart without modifying the geometry of the buildings. Right now I am getting the following result. It seems to enclose the multipatch and create too many smaller features.

I have a lot of multipart buildings, therefore I am looking for a script-based solution.

If you attribute the buildings as you want with eg underlying polygons, you can group them using the make multipatch tool
