Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to generalize the multipatch output from LAS Building Multipatch. I know that this is how its supposed to look, but in trying to minimalize the amount of vertical streaks and jagged edges but at the same time keep a general roof form.  My footprints have already been regularized and look great.

Any help is appreciated.

Pictured attached for example.

Hello, I would suggest using the Extract LOD2 Building tool.   This creates a generalized version of the building.  I took the LAS Building Multipatch output for Kentucky, converted it to building footprints using Multipatch Footprint, then created a ground raster from the ground level attributes spread out using focal statistics and the Multipatch to Raster (Conversion Tools) joined together using maximum to make the input raster to Extract LOD2 Building tool.  Example: https://www.arcgis.com/home/webscene/viewer.html?webscene=1a0b021e1b794f5e9b01cbd9873e6470
