When I zoom into an area, or try and fly somewhere, or whenever a perspective has been changed, or I goof up, it would be nice to have Last Extent Page as part of ArcScene, perhaps it is not going to go back to different increments such as from using the fly tool, but perhaps a Last Perspective, such, as if I was at a 90% perspective, and I switch to a 45% perspective, having the ability to go back to 90% would be welcome within the 3D space.

Hi Ted,

I definitely agree it would useful, but didn't make 9.4 dev. Sorry.

We have an internal enhancement request logged for this idea, but I couldn't find a user-request for it in NIMBUS (just looked)... As a hint for you, we use this system to help prioritize our work, and if there are a lot of customers asking for something we're more willing (and able) to fix it.

Thanks, Nathan.

You know, that everything I do, gets logged.  I will file this straight away.  I was not expecting this as part of 94, but for consideration as part of a future release.  Thanks for the input and also, by chance, whats coming as part of beta 2 for 3D.

Everything I do I don't log so, will just wait for this functionality in some future release.

So, has "previous extent" been added to ArcScene?  I still don't see it at 10.0 (Build 2414).  Holy Cow do I need it!!  Can't believe it has never been added!!

Per Nathan,

"I definitely agree it would useful, but didn't make 9.4 dev. Sorry."

ArcGIS 9.4 eventually was renamed ArcGIS 10.  Since you are using ArcGIS 10, there is no option to view a previous extent.  ArcScene 10.1 Beta does not have this available either.  I'm not sure if it is planned for the final 10.1 release.

Eric

The best alternative I've found is to click on 'CAPTURE VIEW' on the Animation toolbar (looks like a camera).  Click on that after each move if you want.  Then, open the ANIMATION MANAGER... click on one of the keyframes in the NAME column and then click VIEW; keep clicking another keyframe and then VIEW to scroll through them.  It's really quite helpful in that you can modify a keyframe's properties (azimuth, inclination, roll, etc) if one of them needs tweeking.

Or you can create spatial bookmarks after every scene move.  Either way it's cumbersome.
