I know it been some time, but can you share you implementation how or where you added the Host initialization code. There was a bug in earlier version of the Pro, which was dependent of .Net Core 2.1 version libraries which has been fixed in Pro3.2 and higher. Have you tried this in the latest version?

Hello Narelle, Thanks for the response. I agree with your response but, does that mean the following statement in the help document is false. A step can load a dialog box prompting the user to enter an attribute. The entered attributes can be saved in variables to be used in subsequent steps. For example, a step would get an attribute from a task user and use it to calculate attribute fields in a subsequent step. Configure a step command—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Then, how do I use these variables, other than to calculate the field value? Warm Regards, Thejus

Hello, ArcGIS Pro provides ability to create/store values in variables, within a Task Action (using Task Designer). I would like to know how these variables can be used? Also, are these variables accessible in a Custom Addin Command or Geoprocessing Tool? if yes, How or what objects expose them? Thanks in advance. Thejus

The error message is indicating that the Flayer variable is not initialized at the time the selectFeatures is called. You need ensure that the Flayer is initialized and or loaded on the the map before selecting features from it. I would suggest to move the selectFeatures code in ShowSelectedFeatures method and also call it after the layer is loaded/added to map event.

Hello Evan, Were you able to resolve the issue? What configuration do have for "parcelInformation.LowParcelIdentification" in config.js? If my understanding is correct, there will be only one graphic added to the map for each LowParcelIdentification id, whereas the result will be for all the features returned from the query. Does your data has the same value for that field? ~ Thejus

I think you should be good. Untill recent, we were using ArcGIS Server 10.1 and the JS API was working fine. I think any 10.x server should be fine for 3.x version API.

Hello Evan, It would be really helpful, if you could share some code and also let us know which version of the api you are using. 1) From what you are explaining, it looks like you might be using same variable to create new graphic before adding it to map. So, it might be updating the same graphic and only the last graphic is visible on the map. Please share some code. Regards, Thejus

Could anyone kindly let me know how I can create a new FeatureClass as output from the IGPParameter. I have a requirement where I need to output a feature class with geometries. They are calcuated based on input ids. The source for the data is not part of the Input parameters. From what I have looked into so far IGPParameter3 has a property for "Schema" which can be used to define a complete structure for the output. Below is the code I have in the ParameterInfo property. public IArray ParameterInfo
{
get
{
....
var targetFeatureClass = (IGPParameterEdit3)CreateParameter(
"TargetFeatureClass",
"Target Points FeatureClass",
esriGPParameterDirection.esriGPParameterDirectionOutput,
esriGPParameterType.esriGPParameterTypeRequired,
(IGPDataType)new DEFeatureClassTypeClass(),
new DEFeatureClassClass(),
true);
// Feature type, geometry type, and fields all come from the first dependent—the input features.
IGPFeatureSchema outSchema = new GPFeatureSchemaClass();
outSchema.FeatureType = esriFeatureType.esriFTSimple;
outSchema.GeometryType = ESRI.ArcGIS.Geometry.esriGeometryType.esriGeometryPoint;
IFieldsEdit fieldsEdit = new FieldsClass();
IFieldEdit fieldEdit = new FieldClass();
fieldEdit.Name_2 = "ID2";
fieldEdit.Type_2 = esriFieldType.esriFieldTypeString;
fieldsEdit.AddField(fieldEdit);
// Add the additional field to the derived output.
IFields fields = fieldsEdit as IFields;
outSchema.AdditionalFields = fields;
targetFeatureClass.Schema = (IGPSchema)outSchema;
....
}
} Can anyone let me know who I can use the above information to create a new FeatureClass within the Execute method. There is no dependency and I cannot use clone method.

Hello Malla, Please understand what you are writing or copying. When you are creating the instance of the graphic var graphic = Graphic(pt, symbol, data); You are passing the attribute informations into the graphics which is reterieved from looping through the variable "markers". for (i = 0; i < markers.length; i++) {
var data = markers[i]
... Now, that you have created a new variable "outfall" and looping through them to create new objects. for (i = 0; i < outfall.length; i++) {
var Info = outfall
... but you are still using the data from previous loop. you would need to use the correct object instances.

You would need to use esri/graphicsUtils module and calucate the extent of map.graphics and then update the map.extent to the extent of all graphics.

Hello Malla, I have mentioned this in my earlier post. when adding the graphics add the "data" to attributes values that way each point will have its own data within it. Then when you are call the "setContent" use the value from the graphic attributes. Check the sample link I have sent again. Now data will contain the last attribute from the loop and it will show for all records. var graphic = Graphic(pt, green, data);
...
map.infoWindow.setContent(evt.graphicattributes.Facility);//it's a column name coming from sql,
