Thanks Wes. Adding that code to the exported python script works. arcpy.refreshcatalog({file path to database connection file})

I have created a model that will select features in an enterprise db and export to a dbf table. This feature class is versioned and when edited, the updated data is not automatically recognized when I run the model. I need to refresh the database (in ArcCatalog, right click db connection > refresh) before the feature class table will update. Is there a tool that I can add to modelbuilder that will refresh the database before the Table Select tool runs so that it is running on updated data. Ultimately this needs to run as a scheduled task so no manual process should be used. ArcGIS 10.2.2 SQL Server db Thanks, Sharon

I have created a Geoform on ArcGIS Online based on a feature service from data stored in a versioned SQL database. Ideally, I would like to have an email sent when the user clicks on the "Submit" button, with or without the geoform details. There seems to be many requests online for this functionality but it is not implemented yet. (Side question...any plans for this to be implemented). So, in the meantime, I'm trying to find a work around that does not involve the GeoEvent Processor extension. I have tried to create a Trigger on the SQL database but the sp_send_dbmail procedure seems to only work on the msdb system database, not user defined databases. I also tried to enable Editor Tracking on the feature class in the GIS but I don't see a way to automatically send an email when a new record is added/inserted. Am I completely overlooking something? Any other options out there that do not involve GeoEvent Processor or hosting the geoform app locally? Thanks for any suggestions. Sharon

Thanks Rebecca! I think querying the SDE_states table will work to get an idea of the number of edits made. I don't need an exact number but an estimate so that we can measure productivity.

Is there a way to track the number of edits, or the number of records edited, in a versioned enterprise geodatabase? For example, I would like to know the number of edits from last week, or the number of edits since the last sync/compress. Any ideas are appreciated!

Would the Dissolve tool accomplish what you are trying to do? Assuming there is a field in the table identifying the Corridor and Roadbed (C000001E), then you should be able to dissolve all features based on this field. So all features that have the same Corridor and Roadbed, would be merged into one feature.

From the Server logs, there is a SEVERE entry that is repeated multiple times, I'm assuming one from each service whenever it is accessed. I don't seem to have any problems accessing the sites/services although sometimes I will need to log in multiple times. Any ideas as to what is causing this error and how to fix it?

I also have only those 3 files and while right now that are not too big (118kb, 6809kb, 1kb), they seem to fluctuate. Over the last week I have moved the C:\arcgisserver\logs to a different drive so I'm hoping that will help. I had the ERG tools working on ArcGIS 10.0 but I have not been able to get them working on 10.2.2, and there isn't a huge need for it. I will try removing any traces of the ERG tool to see if that will help. Thanks for the tip Rebecca!

Hello, I upgraded to ArcGIS 10.2.2 approx. 9 months ago and since then I have noticed that the C drive on my ArcGIS Server machines continuously grows. With ArcGIS Server installed on the C drive, I am assuming that there are server log files that are causing this drive to fill up. After using a free scanner (GetFolderSize), it looks like the biggest culprit for growing in size is: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\framework\runtime\jre\bin\log. Is there a way to either move all log files associated with ArcGIS Server to a different drive (without uninstalling and reinstalling Server) or manipulate log settings so that the log file size will truncate? Also, how much space should be allocated for ArcGIS Server? Thanks in advance for any help and ideas, Sharon

Hello, I have an organizational account for ArcGIS Online. I have created a map for users to work with data and print maps. But when they try to print the map, only a portion of the map is printing. Perhaps it is preserving scale and not extent? Is there any way that I can change this while still using the default printing service? Also, I'm having trouble printing from a template application from ArcGIS Online. Still playing around with it but if anyone has any hints it would be appreciated. Thank you for all the replies. The operating system is Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. I have been able to run the model in ArcCatalog. I exported the model to a python script and I can run the script in ArcCatalog as well. The databases involved get synced as expected. I have set the Environment Variable PYTHONPATH = C:\Python26\ArcGIS10.0\python.exe and I have called the Toolbox using the mapped letter drive and the UNC path but neither worked. With trying to run the model or script as a scheduled task I have tried a few different scenarios. 1 - Run the model. I created a python script that should run the model according to other research I have done. I also saved this as a batch file but it didn't work either. import arcpy arcpy.ImportToolbox(r"G:\Tools\Models\DrydenModels.tbx", "TBX") arcpy.AnalyzeSyncCompressPWProdPub_TBX() 2 - Run the exported python script. This appears to at least process because it takes some time for the scheduled task to complete but the databases do not sync. Attached is the exported python script 3 - Run a batch file that calls the exported python script. C:\Python26\ArcGIS10.0\python.exe "C:\Scheduled Tasks\AnalyzeSyncCompressPWProdPub.py" At this point, I don't know what else to try. I think I may need to edit the python script so that it can find the databases but exactly how to do that I'm not sure. It at least works as a model and script within ArcCatalog but ideally I would like it to work as a scheduled task. Thanks again for all your help.

Hello, I have created a model that will Analyze, Sync, and Compress data within a SQL Enterprise geodatabase (ArcGIS 10 SP4). The model runs fine in ArcCatalog. I exported the model to a python script and it runs fine in ArcCatalog as well. But when I run the python script as a scheduled task it seems to run but the data doesn't sync between the databases. I also tried the option of setting up a scheduled task to run a python script / bat file that calls the model itself. This doesn't seem to process properly. Not sure what I am missing but I'm not familiar with python so I don't really know where to begin. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks, Sharon

Hello, I have downloaded the EMCOP template and I would like to customize it so that it is applicable to my area (nothern ontario, canada). I would appreciate any help or tips as to how to make changes to the site and what canadian data is available e.g. live weather data that can be used in the site. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks, Sharon
