Hi all, We are developing a Survey123 application for a customer. The customer has sent me a Privacy Impact Assessment form to fill out. One of the questions is: Can the data be transmitted in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format? I assume the answer to this question is Yes. ArcGIS Online uses a REST interface over HTTPS. The data transfer format is JSON. Is this correct? Thanks for the help. Schalk

Hi Phil, We were able to identify the issue. If the image question's appearance is set to annotate, only the "selfie" camera works. Once we removed the appearence specification, the "normal" camera started working. Regards Schalk

Hi all. I have a survey that I am populating from a W10 device. When I want to take a photo, the "selfie" camera works, but the other camera (facing away from the user) does not work (see screengrab). I've seen that there are issues with cameras on W10 devices. Does anyone know if this is resolvable or where I can get more information? Device specifics: Microsoft Tablet. W10 Enterprise version 1903, OS Build 18362.418 Any insights are appreciated. Thanks. Schalk

Hi all. I'm having some syntax issues with the regex function added to the constraints field. If anyone can show me where I'm going wrong, that'll be great. I have some special characters in a text field that I don't want to allow. If the user populates the text field with one or more of these characters, I want the validation to fail with an error message. The special characters I do NOT allow are: " or ` or > or < or ; or \. I tried the following (and various iterations of it); regex(.,'([^<>";])') but once I add the ' or the \, it fails to refresh the survey. regex(.,'(^[a-zA-Z0-9,*!£%^&)(+=@:#~/?. ]+$)') where I add all the characters I want to allow, but this fails to refresh when I add { or } or [ or ]. Any help appreciated. Regards Schalk

I was finally able to get behind the cause of the surveys getting stuck in the outbox. The customer's IT department is actively blocking some special characters. When these special characters are avoided, everything seems to work as expected.

Hi James. Thanks very much for the quick reply. I've been looking into it more. I've captured a log for a survey that fails and for a survey that succeeds. The redirect only happens when the survey fails to send. Still trying to ascertain why this is happening.

Hi all I have a feature service running on ArcGIS Server (10.5) for which the data resides in a SQL database. This service is registered in AGOL and then used as the feature service populated by a Survey123 survey. Users complete surveys using the windows app on a PC. The issue: Everything works as expected for about half of the surveys completed, but the other half fails to send with no error being recorded. It stays in the Outbox with a red exclamation mark. Behaviour is intermittent and inconsistent. Trawling through the Survey123 logs suggests that applyEdits fails with an error code of "0" and no message being recorded. This leads me to believe that I am losing connection to the service (see attached extract of .log file). Sync is set in the capabilities of the feature service running on ArcGIS Server. There is nothing recorded in the ArcGIS Server logs. The workaround: Deleting the surveys that failed to send and re-entering them as a new survey resolves the issue, but this is not practical. Does anyone else have the same experience? Any thoughts? Thanks Schalk
