I'm having a hard time either understanding the concept, or writing the expression. I have a map of our town that shows different water rates for the area. There are two special water/sewer districts where we charge franchise fees. I have fields for the rate code, water district name, and the franchise fee. There's also a link to the policy that explains to customer service how to set up the customer. For 90% of customers, all that needs to pop up is the Rate Code. If they are in a special district, I want all of the fields to show up I used the expression here: IIF(isEmpty($feature.District), "", "District") "District" is the name of the field. I created an expression similar to the first one for the other field. I must be doing something wrong because if there is nothing in the field for a selection, it just shows up as blank space in the pop-up. I would really like things to show up similar to the images below. Right now, there are two different layers. I would like everything to be on one layer. If they're not in a special district, they would just get the water rate. If they are in a special district they would get all the info below, just in one pop-up

I got this resolved with ArcGIS support yesterday afternoon. We had a public account instead of an organizational account. They were able to get me set up as an Administrator/Creator of our account. I can now add larger shapefiles to hosted services, and add them to an ArcGIS Online map. I guess the Online and Desktop licensing/users setups are different, or not connected? When I go to My Esri, select My Organizations and Users, I am listed as an Admin. We have 3 ArcGIS Desktop Basic Single Use Licenses listed under our License Summary. I don't see anything about ArcGIS Online licenses there.

I don't have an existing connection to use. I tried to create one, but that's where I got the 504 error.

I am able to sign in to ArcGIS Online in ArcMap. I went to ArcGIS Administrator and found the Manage Portal for ArcGIS Connections. Currently, there is "http://www.arcgis.com" in the box. I'm not sure what to add to get it to connect. To be honest, most of the instructions went over my head.

I tried to publish directly from ArcMap, but I didn't have a server connection. I tried to create one, but got a 504 error. It said the "proxy server got bad address from remote server" I assumed I would need some privileges, but don't know how to determine if I have those privileges or not. I'm set up as an Admin with our organization, and all the privileges are enabled for me. Our IT person who was kind of handling the GIS software/licenses has left so I'm not sure who to talk to about it.

I removed the .shp file (that's the one you meant, right?) and rezipped the contents. I'm still getting the same thing when i try to add the item.

Here are the contents of the zipped shapefile The two largest are 2,065 KB and 1,577 KB. Each shapefile is zipped individually.

Chrome. I tried using firefox to add the shapefile to "my content" but everything looked the same. Here are my permissions in My Esri: I'm the only person in my organization that is using ArcMap right now.

I have several shapefiles of our electrical system I'm trying to share on ArcGIS Online. Two of the shapefiles are too large to add directly to the map. "Notice: This dataset is too large to add directly to the map. Upgrade to an ArcGIS Online subscription to publish larger data as hosted layers." We have a subscription, and I am logged in. I tried to follow the instructions here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/publish-features.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_49CE0570C3BA4AD8BF2DB28929FF7280 , but I see no options to create a hosted layer. There is no box to publish the file as a hosted layer. I was wondering if this is a permissions issue, but I have all the permissions for my organization enabled. Any thoughts? This is my first time using ArcGIS Online, I've been using ArcGIS Desktop exclusively until now.

I compared the properties for the two projections in ArcCatalog, and the only thing different is the "False_Easting" value. One is 2000000.002616666, and the other is 2000000.0 They both say "Foot_US" under "Linear Unit"

Is there an easy way to change the projection of a feature class? It didn't look like I could change it anywhere in the layer properties, or in ArcCatalog. The ones that don't have a spatial reference at all are CAD files that I have added to the drawing. Some were created in-house using our AutoCad LT software, some where created by outside engineering firms.

The GIS training people did mention it's good to do a "save as" of the MXD instead of a regular save every once in a while if I started to have problems. I did run the "analyze map" tool, I got 91 warnings. They are either for "Layer's data source has a different projection" or "Layer's data source doesn't have a spatial index" The ones that have a different projection, the data frame has this projection: "NAD_1983_StatePlane_North_Carolina_FIPS_3200_Feet" and the layer's data has this: "NAD_1983_2011_StatePlane_North_Carolina_FIPS_3200_Ft_US" Are those the type of things that can cause problems?

Thanks for that explanation. I had assumed that layers that were in the table of contents, but were turned off, didn't take up any resources. That's good to know. Pardon my ignorance, but how do I move layers from the active data frame to another?
