I realize this a newer feature and I hope I'm missing something, but as far as I've experimented with replacing VTPKs, it is not a seamless workflow for the Collector users. We have several layers in our various Collector apps based on SDE read-only type services we're moving to VTPK format, but they would ideally be updated once a month to reflect new data collection. While experimenting with the replace web layer functionality to ideally automate this on a task scheduler, I have not been able to replace the VTPKs and have them successfully show up in Collector without downloading a new offline area. Meaning that when I sync my previously downloaded offline area, the updated VTPK that has replaced the old one should be there, but it is not, which interrupts the whole uninterrupted workflow pitch. However, the replaced VTPK is there if I download a new offline area. Am I missing some step that is crucial to the uninterrupted workflow part? Or is it a portal thing? Any help or insight into replacing/updating VTPKs without having to download new offline areas to reflect updates would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, I have a suite of manually extracted data from several folks that weren't able to sync at one point and time - with everything, related tables, attachments, etc. that was handed off to me. It needs to be appended into two different versions of our SDE. I'm wondering if there is now a better way to get this data in an SDE? I have found old threads concerning manual calculations and joins of original GUIDs and what not, but it seems there has to be a better way by now since those threads are a few years old and seem to be missing a step here or there? I have several extracted mobile gdbs I was able to convert to normal gdbs and am currently working out which data actually differs from the SDE and needs to be synced. I'm hoping there is a new way or someone has invented a less painful workflow for this? I would even take one with more detailed steps than the older threads. I realize Pro now has a Feature Service Sync option for manually extracted edits as long as the user who collected it does the syncing, however, I tried this with no success and with no specific error message. I have a feeling it doesn't work since it doesn't know where to sync version wise, but I am not completely sure on that. Any help is very much appreciated!

It's great that the latest release is finally supporting TPKs. However, in offline map creation, you must specify the filename of the TPK in the advanced settings. Is there a way to use wildcards with the file name? I tried different ways and received errors. The problem is we use multiple TPKs and having to set one as the default will not work for us, especially since sometimes we will not know the name of the TPK until later on and sometimes the extent changes, etc. I realize you can change a basemap once a default TPK is set and the map is downloaded, however that may cause difficulty for our users without every TPK we use. It would be nice if it was an option to choose a TPK while setting the area, similar to Collector Classic. Setting an offline area mostly works right now, as it will download a small chunk of imagery and all the feature layers we're working with, but we also cover large areas so it is pointless to have to set multiple map areas when there are several TPK basemaps already loaded on the iPad for that reason. We're planning to eventually adapt our workflows to new collector, but having to specify TPK names puts a wrench in things. Especially for our folks in limited wifi/service areas, hence the side loading of TPKs. Any insight is much appreciated.
