Hi I am experiencing the same issue where IWA is enabled and anon disabled. A potential workaround is the bypass the Web Adaptor and shoot straight to the portal server via port 7443 e.g. https://FQDN:7443/arcgis If the portal server Fully Qualified Domain Name is myserver.domain.com, then https://myserver.domain.com:7443/arcgis make sure you swap out the default /portal in the fme dialog for the /arcgis If you are running a HA portal environment then just hope the server you select is always up...... hope this helps 🙂

Hi Thanks for the response @Felipe_Costa I checked event viewer and manually uninstalled it too. In the end I found it was my inability to search the internet properly. As I was using DSC to do the install there's a crafty little setting I have never set which basically stop DSC from trying to reinstall and reinstall. This is covered in https://github.com/Esri/arcgis-powershell-dsc/issues/394 which one of the ESRI DSC legends pointed me to (thanks Cameron K.). I made the setting change in Powershell and bingo, all is sweet, it does not keep installing. Information on the LCM setting is here V4. Getting Started · Esri/arcgis-powershell-dsc Wiki · GitHub, Dot point 1 😁 Thanks Felipe and Cameron K.

Hi A fresh install of 10.9.1 Enterprise on Azure hosted Windows 2019 servers(3) using Powershell DSC. After it was installed, licensed and configured I ran the install option again to patch all the machines. This appeared to work without issue. But...it appears the log4j patch is in a continuous install loop. Every 15mins its installs again and restarts AGS. I uninstalled the patch via control panel and it ran again and it installed itself again. Server has been restarted etc. Does anyone know how to stop this? Thanks Lachlan

Hi I also posted this on the poweshell dsc github and Cameron gave us instructions on what to do in our case. 2 simple steps, un-federate the AGS site and add the InternalLoadBalancer setting to the config file and run. We now have a access to Organization, Settings Thanks DSC crew and Jonathan

Hi @JonathanQuinn We are getting the same issue with a non-ha 10.9.1 environment on AZURE that we just built with powershell dsc (no errors returned with the install, all prefect, love DSC!!). 3-machines: m1 Portal & portal/server wa's; m2 Server and m3 datastore. Instead of a LB we are using a DNS entry for prettyname.com and both the webcontexturl and privateportalurl use this (automatically setup by dsc as we set the externalloadbalancer tag to prettname.com for both portal and server blocks. When we turn on IWA via IIS the settings the same as above happens, cannot get to settings and when we try to connect to AGS manager we are prompted for siteadmin uname/pw. We have a dev setup in the same way but was done manually and the privalportalurl is not set. Switching on IWA works perfectly. I also noticed that federation uses 7443 on this setup whereas the DSC has the prettyname.com. Any ideas on what we can check/do? Thanks Lachlan W

Hi Everyone I have not placed a ticket with ESRI Australia yet.......just seeing if anyone has had the same problem. We have ArcGIS Portal for ArcGIS 10.3.1 using AD authentication and federated with ArcGIS Server. Both on same server (Windows 2012) and fully patched. Portal/AGS, each with their own web adapter. I am getting issues with tokens when displaying or querying a featureserver. Essentially I cannot see a features when using the map viewer in Portal or performing a query from the rest endpoint of AGS for the FeatureServer. The message from AGS rest once pressing Query (Get) is: Unable to complete operation. Unable to perform query operation. We can query the same MapServer without problem. Has anyone else had this problem?? It seemed to start once the patching had been completed. The messages from AGS log is: Token is not a valid Admin token. Trying portal token next. Token = BaM6fpKag78K2HqpfjTit3cvUcuhmAVWyZ_dh08h6fQ7UgVmep0P8K7AO8XyQhCRajbIK8rgUA5p5ZwWvaZcbH7n_tqs1wuUjyemMVMmA6giOq2lY7qmY1Wr2dLVYQyfXTh275uBRCUcSmBYsFNueDHQwMoKv42ucHABg_pjH5uNARiK01-3-C4PNEMgv-LJtDNZfqFVrgEB4U9A1vngw9ZLTaZWk5D0Sa4uXpMwgY8h-KKlfRS_NPXOThe17UUu, referrer = https://XXXXXXX/arcgisserver/manager/log.html#lgf=type%2Ctime%2Cmessage%2Csource&lqlf=DEBUG&lqa=last%20hour&lqs=ALL&lqm=ALLCould not decrypt token.
