I am trying to programmatically set a junctionFlag using IDs from a Feature on our geometric network. I have been studying the ArcObject resources around the JuntionFlag I see that it says you can get the ids using INetElements.QueryIDs. I have tried several different approaches to this, but can't seem to figure out how to get the 3 IDs from said query. I am working with VB on this project, in ArcMap version 9.3.1 any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

yes...uh... that would be what I meant by "copy and paste", as it is commonly known...I think... It can be done in the info-popup window, but I would like to to be available in the results tab or the grid tab of the widget window. Also, the "<titlefield>" is not copyable, and those would be the primary info my folk would want to grab quickly... can this be done? anyplace I can go in the code to make these field editable (and therefore copyable)?

Well, I set the two "RichEditableText"s' editable field to true in the InfoPopWidget and now I can select values in the pop-up info bubble...that may be good enough... Wish I could select in in the widget boxes too...

Is there anyway to be able to copy the text-results from any of the widgets (i.e. Identify, esearch, selection...) . I know our staff are going to want to be able to do this regularly. They may just want to grab the value of one field or something, but none of the result grids/lists seem to be have the openness needed to copy text from them. Is there a setting in the InfoPopWidgetTemplate?

Hi, I was having the problem with the Layers being added to the TOC, so I added the one line in the INIT() and the one function as mentioned above. It compiled fine. Now the widget won't open at all. I just get a little clock going round and round... I also tried importing the library that someone else mentioned... it didn't fix it... any ideas? EDIT: NEVER MIND, SEEMS TO BE A FLASH BUILDER ISSUE...won't do what I want it to...grrr...

Well, I just went with the string and then null, null, to get passed the error. Now the errors with BaseWidget and IBaseWidget in the TimerComplete function: This section: if (bWidget){
var bWidg:BaseWidget = bWidget.getInstance();
var vSW:SearchWidget = bWidg as SearchWidget;
vSW.queryParam(xParam);
} else {
var bWidget2:IBaseWidget;
bWidget2 = SiteContainer.getInstance().widgetManager.getWidget(id) as IBaseWidget;
var vSW2:SearchWidget = bWidget2 as SearchWidget;
vSW2.queryParam(xParam);
} Is there something here that has changed in 2.2?

So that solution isn't for 2.x. I have run into many other errors, such as creating an AppEvent. You are passing 4 parameters, but the 2.x constructor is looking for <=3. I don't know what other error I am going to run into...and not sure how to fix this one mentioned...not sure which params we need to pass. seems very different from older version of the viewer.

I am trying to use Robert's solution in the following thread: http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=...04#msgid923901 but am having trouble with something that seems very basic.... I cannot find the "SiteContainer.xmxl" I searched my solution in FB4 but only found 2 mentions of it...one in the code I just pasted from the thread and the other in a comment in the AppEvent.as Do I need to create one?

Molly, ESRI Recommends keeping all products on the same version... Yes, we know, but it takes a long time for us to upgrade as we have a very complex architecture, With Telvent Designer on top of ESRI apps and then a whole slew of in-house extensions on top of that.... We JUST upgraded to 9.3.1 from 9.2 in December.... Thank you again for helping me out Robert! I will set that check and see how it works!

Thats pretty dang funny. you hit the naik on the head with "sleeping map service syndrome". thats exactly what i have been experiencing. that happens to me also. its not every day and its not with every service. Seems like it happens more with my dynamic services than cached ones. Both the ones I am using are Dynamic.

I am using ArcGIS Server 10.0.0.0 The MXDs linked to ArcSDE 9.3.1 Could that be the reason? they are suppose to be compatible.... Our production environment it 9.3.1, but I am building the web maps using ArcGIS 10 in a development environment, but reading the data from production...not doing any editing via the web.

Something odd has been happening. When I first open my flexviewer URL every morning, my local ArcGIS Server services are not showing. They are listed in the menu, but not "turning on" and not showing their layers (no expand arrow), indicating the bind is not yet set. But as soon as I close it, then open the URL a second time in the browser, they are there. If I check the rest Mapservice/ URL BEFORE opne flex viewer, all the info is there and is working fine. This has been EVERYDAY and only on first open in the day...not after changes. It happens even if there were no changes made the day before. Anyone have any idea what may be happening?

We have the same problem. Can I also be updated? I'd like to add...incase it can help somebody, is our work around for the moment... We use the Wold_relief service as the starting and main background for our data...when you zoom in close on that service, it just goes to an all white background so we can still see our features zoomed in. If we need to see roads or the imagery, we have to zoom out a little. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
