Hi Melita, Can you also put in a request to change this across the product platform? This also comes up in Collector with the user profile and is misleading to customers. In other words, Collector says this transformation ITRF08 TO 2011 is for the Pacific Ocean while ITRF00 is for US Conus. Thanks!

Jessy, I ran into this a while back. I was able to resolve this issue by enabling the “High Accuracy NMEA Output” option on the R2. The code for this upgrade is free, but has to be requested from Trimble Support (through a Trimble dealer). After enabling this option, the R2 will provide the correct NMEA message for Collector when using an Internet/NTRIP based correction on Windows 10. The R1 is capable of <1m to 0.5m accuracy depending on correction serviced used. I can't comment to the Garmin GLO, but I can to the Trimble R1. To get the positional accuracy into Collector with the Trimble R1 you need to do the following. Install the Trimble GNSS Status App on your Device and set the following (Menu -> Real-Time Config) Set your real-time correction source (Usually SBAS) (Menu -> NEMA Settings) Tap the chevron arrow at the bottom left to move all the NMEA messages to the right. Tap Apply to Receiver at the bottom. Tap SSP 1. Tap Save. In Collector, Tap Location Provider. Tap the "+" to add a new receiver. You should see the R1 listed as "GNSS & the last 5 digits of the SN#, ex GNSS: 12345. Tap it and set the Height (not required). Tap Ok to save. You should now see the R1 as a provider. Tap it. You will see the GNSS Status Utility open then disappear. After this you should see a "check" Next the the R1. Tap the back button to return to the settings screen From Testing with the Beta iOS, Andriod, Windows 10, iOS nonbeta (pre iOS 10 upgrade) & Windows 10 non-beta, adding and setting up the GPS Meta data fields are not required to see the accuracy of the R1 in the map window accuracy badge. If your having issues, I would check that your GNSS Status app is updated to the the latest version and that your R1 firmware up to date. Delete any connections you created before and redo #1 & #2 above.

Hi Bill, From what you are describing, it sounds like the service isn't initializing. To achieve 4cm accuracy, you need to be using the RTX CenterPoint service. This service takes about 30 minutes to initialize with the R2 CM Edition unit. In the GNSS Status App, you should see "RTX" in the bottom right hand circle when the service is "In Use" Ultimately, I would contact your local dealer for support. If its available, a base station correction via internet would be a better solution as the initialization time is about 2-3 minutes.

Hi Mary, I'm not familiar with Survey123, but I am with Trimble R1. With the Surface Pro running Windows 8 Desktop , it doesn't use locations services to pass the GPS information from the Trimble R1 into Survey123 like when you use a smart phone or tablet. When you Bluetooth the R1 to a Windows device, like the Surface Pro, a series of COM Ports will be created (incoming and outgoing). Survey123 (When used on a Windows desktop based device) would need to have settings to define a COM Port for an external GPS receiver. Since Collector doesn't have this (as of current release) I would be surprised if Survey123 does, but I would contact the ESRI folks to confirm.

Hi Kayla, You can get CM accuracy from the R2 into Collector using the GNSS status app. This requires the following: 1. A CM version of the R2 2. A real-time base station correction service, preferably a VRS. A single base will work as long as you are within 18 miles of it. 3. The "High Accuracy NEMA" option activated on your R2 A. This is not a standard option. This option has to be requested by your Trimble rep from Trimble. They will need your R2's SN#. Trimble will provide back a option code to activate the option. B. **Without this option enabled, the best you will see in collector is sub-meter** no matter what version of the R2 you have or correction source you are using, or accuracy the GNSS Status app is stating. To check if you have this option or to install it, connect to your computer to your R2 using WiFi. Once you have done so, type 192.168.142.1 into the browser. You will be prompted for a Username (admin) and Password (password). Once logged into your receiver, go to Receiver Status -> Receiver Options. There you are looking for "High Accuracy NEMA" under Additional Features (See Screen Shot Below). At the bottom, you will see the option to paste in the install code and install it. ** The other thing to note is that Collector uses Web Mercator as the coordinate system referencing WGS 84. More than likely your base station corrections will be in NAD83. If this is the case you will see about a 3ft shift in your data as Collector doesn't support datum transformations until the next release.
