Hello, I have the following code for creating a U shape, I'm attempting to essentially extrude a cube, and add a uShape on top using comp(f). I have attached two images, if I use my start rule as "RoofTier" it creates a ushape no problem. If I use my start rule as Lot, it will extrude my lower part of the building, but the u shape is incorrect. This also happens to L shapes. Note I'm just using the "Null" rule in this case to make my floor/ceiling planes. Does anyone have any insight? I know from images I've seen this is very possible. Thanks! David version "2012.1"

Hello, That's great thanks. Yesterday I timed my start up time, it was over 15 minutes. Today, with that fix, under 30 seconds. We're behind several corporate firewalls and proxies, generally anything that needs access to the outside world needs some kind of special setup. Thanks again! David

Hello, Can I just ask how long I should expect it to take for CityEngine to load? For example, after running the CityEngine command or desktop shortcut, until the software has fully loaded. On both my linux machine and windows machine it takes a full 5-10 minutes of load time (I've not timed it exactly), but needless to say a very long time. Is this normal or is something wrong somewhere? Thanks, David

Hello, Apologies for the late reply. I see in the tutorial to create cylindrical towers they just import a premade cylindrical asset: Tower -->

else: RecursiveSetbacks I was hoping there was a way to create a round object from shapes similar to the L-shapes. Importing whole premade assets is a possibility but not how I was hoping to solve this problem. I can make triangular buildings on triangular lots by doing a simple offset then extrude operation, but not on a rectangular lot unfortunately. I think it's probably impossible sadly. Hello, I'm fairly new to CityEngine, I've checked the help pages but I'm not seeing the information I might need. I understand CityEngine has built in L-Shapes, O-Shapes and U-shapes, but what is the easiest way to procedurally generate more unusual building shapes? I suppose for a specific example, on a square lot, what's the best way to extrude a triangular or rounded building shape? Thanks, David
