Yea I understand that. I guess I was just thinking over the reasoning. I know you can manually create a version for editing and I didn't know if that was a way to manually create a version for your edit session and then once your done publish your edits to the unversioned database. I guess the way I think about it is that since you can back out of an entire edit session since it was not saved, the edits were being tacked by the software in some way and caching the changed temporarily. It just seems like an issue and when in an edit session undo should have the ability to be done or temporary versions could be created and used back to the database like I mentioned. Thanks for the help. This change is very new and I am still learning about the changes.

The best way to control all the aspects of your data going up to ArcGIS online would be to publish out from Arc Desktop from a shapefile. You can publish it out to your organization or connect servers

I started with a new GIS team that just recently changed the geodatabase from versioned to unversioned (non versioned) to accommodate the massive number of users. This has created issues with my GIS team locally that are making edits to the data. The main issue is there is no Undo or availability to go back when you accidently move or delete something. The only way to go back is to not save the edit session or in the case you saved the edit session you must use an archive. Is it possible for my team to make edits to the unversioned geodatabase with the ability to undo mistakes or changes while still editing the same main data on the unversioned database? Does anyone have any tips or things that would help us as we start using a non versioned database? Any knowledge, tips, tricks, personal experiences on using nonversioned, ANYTHING would help me wrap my mind around using this database and how I can help my team transition to unversioned. THANKS!!!

Most of the drop down menus work fine it is just a select few columns that are not working in the editor but do work in the attribute table as you can see in the attached photo

I have multiple layers set with drop down menu selections. The issue comes when making edits through the attribute table for the selected feature in editor. Some of the drop down menus I have set work and I can select the correct attribute. But some do not allow me to use the drop down in the editor attribute table but the drop down does work in the attribute table. I am trying to correct this so I can use all of the drop down menus.

I appreciate the input. I don't think I have any ArcOnline client that would be willing to pay another $500 to get Pro nor do I see the advantage of purchasing the Pro for myself. I believe there is another work around even though this is a great tool to have in the future. Do you see advantages in purchasing Online Pro?

I have a client that I created all their GIS on our company ArcOnline. Now that client has purchased their own subscription and organization. I am trying to figure out how to give them their layers and maps to their organization and off of ours. While I could just invite their users to our group and let them see the maps, ESRI, in their infinite wisdom, made Level 1 users unable to join outside groups. My question is; 1) How can I move data from one organization to another 2) If I have a user, and give them ownership to all the data and then kick them out of the organization. Do they get to keep that data if they moved to another organization? (i.e. If I gave ownership to user JEFF and then kicked them out of my organization and JEFF joined another Org. Would that data now be part of that new Organization?)
