Hi, Thank you very much for the tip. I have reflected the problem to my supervisor and I have been told to ignore the lat/long fields instead due to some issues with the lon/lat values. I have converted my excel sheet into a csv file so as to use the Add layers function in the map viewer, however, I got another error this time round. I have 870 features in the CSV file and the lon/lat values have been removed. This is the new error I received when I tried to add my CSV file as a layer. Thank you so much for your kind assistance and apologies for the long questions as I am really new to ArcGIS portal and I am quite lost right now. -Cheryl

Hi, Thank you very much for the tip, however, I have tried to convert my excel file to csv and tried adding it to my map but I kept getting the error "The layer was not created because no locations could be found. Make sure your data has valid addresses or geographic coordinates (lat/long)". I have actually added in the latitude and longitude values into my csv file together with the addresses but it still won't work... -Cheryl

Hi, I have an assignment which requires me to upload and publish an excel sheet on my organisation's ArcGIS Portal directly but I have yet to find a way to upload my excel sheet onto the portal even though this link showed that Excel sheets could be shared onto the portal directly What can you add to your portal?—Portal for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Enterprise . I have tried to upload my excel sheet to the portal using My Content>Add item>From My computer>Excel file but could not add it into my basemap.I am currently using Excel 2016 and I have added a few screenshots for your reference thank you! -Cheryl

Hi, I have an assignment which requires me to join attributes in a geodatabase with a csv table just like what is mentioned in this About joining and relating tables—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop . I have a matching key called CDE_BLK but I can't seem to find the matching key when I tried to join the gdb and csv table. I suspect it might be due to the differences in data type of the matching key in both the gdb and csv table, where the matching key in the gdb is a Text and the one in the csv table is a Long. I tried to change the CDE_BLK field to Text format in the csv file but whenever I add it into ArcMap, it will return to Long. Does anyone have any idea on how to make this work? Thanks a lot for your help! -Cheryl

Hi Shan, No, my csv does not have any special characters and my field names do not contain any spaces, I have added in underscores for the field names' spaces instead. I have added a screenshot of one coordinate for your reference, thank you for your advice! -Cheryl

Hi, I am trying to publish an excel sheet in CSV format onto my organisation's ArcGIS Portal but I am having issues with adding my CSV file onto the portal. I have 727 rows and 15 columns of data in my excel sheet. Whenever I tried to add a layer from my file on the portal, I would get an Error warning even though I have included valid addresses and geographic coordinates in my excel sheet. Did anyone encounter this problem too? I have attached some images for your reference, really appreciate your help! -Cheryl

Hi Tim, Thank you very much for your kind help. I have tried to disable the Start value time but the features still failed to display cumulatively over time. It seems like the features with smaller time values will appear first then disappear for a short moment and ArcGIS Pro will redraw them and display them again with the new features which have greater time values. I cannot seem to get rid of the 'blinking' fashion when I tried to run the whole time series. Regards, Cheryl

Hi, I have tried all the steps on the ArcGIS Pro help pages before I turned to GeoNet for help but nothing worked. I am currently using ArcGIS Pro Version 1.4 . I have attached some screen captures of my project for your reference. My issue is that when I tried to play the time series, my 3D models with a time value smaller than the current time seen in Scene 1 would disappear for a brief moment (seen in Scene 2) before appearing together with other models with time value that is equal to the current time (Scene 3) so I am wondering if there is any way to make Scene 1 to be displayed progressively to Scene 3. The models currently appear in a flashing manner but my project would require the models to be displayed in a smooth and cumulative manner with the time set. Thank you very much for your help, really appreciate it!

Hi, I am trying to create a time series of 3D models on ArcGIS Pro and I want the models to be displayed smoothly in accordance with their associated time input. I have enabled temporal display for my temporal data but when I played the animation, the models do not appear smoothly in sequence but instead they appear and disappear as the time feature progress (it looked as though the models are 'blinking' when I clicked on the play button). What I want is something like the 'Display data cumulatively' function on ArcMap. Thanks a lot for your help!
