So this is the simplest question ever, maybe. I am trying to move from using #vbscript to #Python in labeling expressions. Can you help me translate this simple vbscript line into python. round([Acres],1) & vbnewline & [SqMi] I can concatenate and stack lines in python. I can round in python. I can't do both at the same time though. Python newbie.

I tested using Enterprise logins back in January and with the help of our Security IT person. We got everything working using ADFS with AGOL. We turned off this functionality for several months. When I went back to set it up I started getting the following error. "Unable to login using Idp. Unable to validate SAML response" As far as we could tell nothing had changed between January and June with our ADFS server. I reimported a fresh version of the XML from ADFS and things started working again. Have others had this issue where there seems to be no change, but the trust is lost or some other issue? Before we fully implement Enterprise connections I would like to know if this is a common issue. If there is inactivity between AGOL and ADFS does the trust expire? Thanks Chris

Testing it on our Test Servers with more CachingTool instances running seems to confirm it works fine.

vmware arcgisforserver Will ArcGIS for Server (10.4.1) recognize and take advantage of adding additional cores to an existing Server Installation? Our server was originally setup in VMware (Simplivity) with 2 cores and I am wondering if I will need to reinstall Server after IT adds 2 additional cores to bring it up to 4? I found a really old post - Allocating more vCPUs after ArcGIS Server installation. (WMWare, 9.3.1) and not sure if it is relevant anymore Is there somewhere in Server Admin, Manager, or somewhere else to check what resources are being used on the Server? Like a Windows System Information? Thanks

I just upgraded our Test Servers from 10.3.1 to 10.4.1. After the upgrade the f=jsapi output format is not working for the various map services in the Rest Directories whether going through the Web Adaptor address or directly to the site inside the firewall. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? The Map Services work fine in ArcGIS Desktop, AGOL, etc., but not in the ArcGIS JavaScript Preview. Now the javascript window does not "activate". Mostly just a blank screen is shown under the Map Service name. I saw some old documentation about caching of the Rest directory, but nothing recent. Thanks

I ended up watching a Training Seminar and the Instructors did not use the URL or Generate Token pieces of the documentation when Registering the Server and Site. We ended up just using XML files from AD FS and Get Service Provider Button. The documentation was more confusing than it needed to be .

Our organization is trying to Register AD FS 3.0 server with our ArcGIS Online organization and we have not gotten far yet. Configure Active Directory Federation Services—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS We tried first to Register AD FS as the enterpise identity provider and error with some of the following text "Unable to register identity provider." , 'Error in registering Idp , Error in parasing Idp metdata form url " We are new to AD FS server and this would be our first integration with it. We thought maybe we needed to Register our ArcGIS Online as a Trusted Provider first so we tried Generating a Token as mentioned in step 4, but had no luck. I have tired a few parameters and received a Method Not Supported error. Has anyone recently gone through this process and have any tips that I have been unable to find in the help or online documentation. Thanks

When configuring the Basic Viewer you can have an option to include sublayers or not in the Layer List Widget. I think this functionality in Web AppBuilder would be very useful. Basic Viewer Settings Web AppBuilder Layer List Widget Settings

Hello, I am learning on the fly until I can get some training. I upgraded our Multi-Server Test environment from Server 10.2.2 to 10.3.1. I configured the Web Adaptor(s) and now the ArcGIS Server Manger at servername:6080/arcgis/manager/ redirects to servername:6443/arcgis/manager/ . I also get a certificate error now. Our IT group has upgraded our certificates, but I believe they are only for the external addresses and not the internal addresses to the servers. I am not a DNS, Web, server expert by any means I have been doing some reading, but have not had luck yet. 6443 is for https: and 6080 is for http: from my reading. Is this new in 10.3 for 6080 to not work? Server Administrator still works fine at port 6080. Is there anything I actually need to be worried about since it is all inside the firewall and not available to the public. The external site is working fine and I am not having any issues with publishing map services. Thanks Chris

Thanks. So "&level=1" at the end of the URL should do the trick for my users I take it.

After the recent update to ArcGIS Online, the Layer functionality in Apps created with Web AppBuilder does not behave the same. The Layers do not remain on and do not mirror what was setup in the ArcGIS.com map used to create the App. Has anyone else experience this issue? Thanks
