So are you saying if my Portal server, arcgis server, hosted server and datastore server (all separate servers) are on the same network that you do not need to install agents on each server?

I am having a similar issue after applying the 10.7.1 Security 2021 patch2 on my RHEL 7.8 server. Every time I restart ArcGIS the machine-config.xml and config-store-connection.xml get deleted from .../framework/etc directory.

I am having basically the same issue after I applied the Security 2021 Patch2 to my ArcGIS Server on 10.7.1 Rhel 7.8. Every time I restart ArcGIS Server it deletes the machine-config.xml and the config-store-connection.xml files from my /framework/etc directory. There was a bug in 10.3 for this behavior but its happening here and now on another one of my Server sites also. the hidden file path above seems to be a symbolic link to /framework/etc folder.

Does anyone know how to set ArcGIS Monitor to monitor disk space utilization of directory of your choosing? For linux system the only options are /dev/sba and /dev/sdb. I want to monitor other directories on the OS like /data and /opt.

We have had issues as well with the new Ops Dashboard, where the Category Selector was not functioning properly. After weeks of looking into this and pulling our hair out I was able to identify it was an issue with the spatial reference of the rest services the Category Selector was referencing. Once we set the service spatial reference to Web Mercator it started to magically work. I assume there is some requirement to use Web Mercator in the code, we have a ESRI ticket in and asked to have this logged as a bug. I really don't want to have to update all my services to fix this issue.

Hi Fred, We are having the same issues with 304 Not Loaded on our public web services which is causing end users in AGOL and other configurable apps not be be able to use our services. We basically have the same server site configuration as you. The question we have, where does the fix you outline above go...on the load balancer configuration or does it go in the javascript on the client side? Or in the arcgis proxy config on our server site?

Can you connect the ArcGIS Monitor service to a Mongo DB on a remote linux server? We are not allowed to run free versions of software for production instances at my Agency. We have a couple production licenses for these linux db servers already and would like to utilize these current licenses.

Aaron, do you have to install this to be able to see Operations Dashboard as an option in the Content - Create menu or on the Apps button? From the online documentation is says "The browser app is already part of your portal installation." But I do not see this option at all.

We also had this issues where the Portal under Settings-->Servers-->was failing to connect to a federated server. Portaladmin api was unable to unfedereate the server: Failed to unfederate server ... Could not decrypt token. Token may not be valid. In the ArcGIS Server admin api I was able to change the Security configuration to use internal Server authentication and removed the Server role of Hosted server. But Portal still thought that this ArcGIS Server was federated. Then I remembered that in the Portal Sharing api federated servers where also listed. https://portal.domain.net/portal/sharing/rest/portals/XXXXXXXXXXXX/servers From here I was able to finally get the server unfederated with Portal. Once everything was cleaned up I was able to Federate this ArcGIS Server instance and also register it as the Hosting Server.

I agree we had this happened to us last year as well and forgot about with our latest install of 10.6 on RHEL 7. ESRI should update there documentation for this or at least create a technical article addressing the issue.

Yes I too would like to install a 'clean' Portal without thousands and thousands of items/content already in my Portal. I am unsure how much of it really is needed. I am developing a process that may work. Install portal but before you run initial site set up you need to truncate the items and contents files. ...\portal\framework\template * replaced index.zip with the empty_index.zip * la_content.zip - emptied the zip * portal_content.zip - emptied the zip I ran the site create, no content was in the site but when browsing postgre database with PGadmin found all the tables had records for users/items/content, etc... ** I found data.sql in the templates folder also that inserted all these records. I truncated the data.sql file as well. For the most part the Portal is now empty without all the pre-loaded content.

For our brand new Portal installation on RHEL7 the walarchives have completely filled up our /opt directory in just a few weeks of idle use. And now Portal will not start up even after clear some space. Then the webgisdr shell script will not run at all from Putty. Its starting to look like another re-install of Portal.

Jayanta, We are getting an error trying to register Portal web adaptor in RHEL 7 - with apache and tomcat. SSL certs are installed and configured with both. We have a web adaptor for arcgis that went through just fine to its remote AGS server. Then we installed another web adaptor called portal and we get the follow error when we try to configure the portal on a remote server. Configuration Prerequisite: You must bind your security certificate to port 443 on your web site before you can configure the Web Adaptor with Portal for ArcGIS.
