Hi, I'm currently working on project developed by another developer who has used ESRI.ArcGIS.Geoprocessor library for geoprocessing all over the place in the application. I need advise on, What would happen if I called Geoprocessor.ExecuteAsync from ESRI.ArcGIS.Geoprocessor library, would it still execute the geoprocessing tasks in 64-bit background geoprocessing if available? I'm trying to avoid using ESRI.ArcGIS.Geoprocessing library (time constraints can't afford to rewrite the code) which I know would use 64-bit background geoprocessing if I used IGeoprocessor2.ExecuteAsync. I was wondering whether ESRI.ArcGIS.Geoprocessor library has been depreciated? I can add reference to this library in my ArcGIS 10.2 project but there are no documentation on this library in ArcObjects Help for .Net. All documentations point to ESRI.ArcGIS.Geoprocessing. Thanks Riyas

Hi Agri, Generally tiled map services are pre created in JPEG format, since they are base maps and don't require transparency JPEG format provided best performance with minimal loss in quality. If at all you want to test performance for different format, then you may want to check the example usage in this link ArcGIS REST API - Services and Data Types . Format parameter is valid with exportmap operation.

Hi Geoffrey, Have a look at this fiddle Edit fiddle - JSFiddle You can use a function like convertRangeToCode and pass your fields with domain to this function, it'll convert the range domain into a coded value domain json object which you can use to populate your dropdown list. If the domain in already a coded value domain, it'll be returned as is.

Hi Greg, Are you getting any error or warning when attempting append? did you double check to make sure if your event table created using locate feature along route and your master event table schema are same? In your case, you'll have to pass both the start and end point in same request Locate feature along route for start and end point to create two event tables validate if both the point's event have a common route ID (Join both the tables on route id with keep only matching records option) If there is at least one row pick the route ID and chainages (the join would result in two chainage column one each for start and end), append route ID and chainage to your master table. If there are no rows after join, the points specified are not along same route, throw an error back

Hi Aaron, Not sure where you are trying to access the dojo shape. The gfx object representing your graphic should be be created in the DOM before you can access it, In the below fiddle, I'm using graphic-node-add event to identify if gfx DOM has been created. Edit fiddle - JSFiddle

Hi Greg, Never implemented something similar. But the quickest and easiest way I think of is using a geoprocessing service. ArcGIS Help 10.1 Create a model with Locate features along route tool Append the located event results to your master event table Publish this model as geoprocessing service. Pass the line user draws along with attributes as input to this geoprocessing service from your web application Hope this helps!

Hi John, Your coordinates seem to be projected coordinates but your are assigning a geographic coordinates system in this line geometry.SpatialReference = sr1; You should assign a projected coordinate system for this coordinates (esriSRProjCS_NAD1983UTM_18N in your case) Geographic coordinates are latitude (valid values -90 to +90) and longitude (valid values are -180 to +180), projected coordiates are generally in linear units meter or miles. Google maps coordinates are in WGS84 you should project your geometry to esriSRGeoCS_WGS1984

Hi Bjorn, I would say no, map drawing speed is dictated by number of features displayed at a given scale, complexity of geometry (number of vertices used to define a polygon) and symbology used for rendering. Refer Performance tips for uncached maps section in ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2)
