Hi Jamal, The “disable network topology” fails in ArcGIS Pro 2.5.1 using your data, so the work around is either to download the latest 2.6 beta and install it somewhere else (as it is unlikely to be as reliable as 2.5.x for general use) or upgrade to 2.6 when it is available. Cheers Will

Hi Jamal, This looks like a bug (not sure which) that has been fixed in ArcGIS Pro 2.6.0 beta 1, which can be downloaded if you belong to the Early Adopter Community. Your UNW data crashed my ArcGIS Pro 2.5.1 but not the beta when I tried to “disable network topology”, and as the H.gdb (see attached) is backwardly compatible (at least to 2.5.1) you have a workaround. Cheers Will If this answer solved your question or if you found it helpful please mark it accordingly to help others who have the same question.

Hi Jan, Did you get a resolution to your XY tolerance / resolution questions? I am working on a UN project where new data is coming from another Vendor's system (probably a different coordinate system as well) and they need to know how far apart assets (or vertices) need to be placed so as not to get load errors or even points rejected as they no longer have distinct X,Y,Z values. Cheers Will

With ArcGIS Pro 2.5 there is a setting <MinimalDirtyAreaSize> in the enterprise geodatabase which allows the size of dirty areas around points to be set to a fraction of a coordinate system linear unit, at the moment I have only been able to set this via SQL. Following is the result of this having the value <MinimalDirtyAreaSize>0.01</MinimalDirtyAreaSize> (dirty area size 0.01 degrees square around an edited point).

Hi Michael, Does your Active Portal have any federated servers, if so it should look something like this (although you can have more than one)? Cheers Will

Hi Dan, I did this after cloning my python environment in ArcGIS Pro 2.5 ... Open a python command prompt and run the following: conda install -c solutionsdev/label/pro2.5 untools … which as been working fine as well, happily running Apply Asset Package with asset packages created in ArcGIS Pro 2.4 Cheers Will

Hi Alessandro, The config-store-connection.xml will be deleted if the ArcGIS Server can no longer connect to the configuration store. So double check the connection parameters, that the service account still has the required access permissions to this resource and there is no network issue in the way. Configure ArcGIS Server Account is an additional thing to try on the server, depending where the config store is. Cheers Will

Hi Nicolas, From the error it looks like your ArcGIS Server is looking for some information from the Portal it is federated with (perhaps related to the security related to that service which will be why it does not know it is public and so returns error 499 as it is expecting some user credentials). Having waited too long for Portal to reply it has given up. Is your Portal too busy to respond, or the network link between Server and Portal overloaded? Cheers Will

Hi Nicholas, I have not had a lot to do with ArcGIS Server running on Azure, but assume that configuration store location will also be stored in this file; C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\framework\etc\config-store-connection.xml Does this file exist still and if you open it in Notepad does it look valid (it should not be empty)? If the file is missing, empty or invalid, try restoring this from your most recent backup and restart the ArcGIS Server service. If that file is there with valid content, then it will more likely be an issue with ArcGIS Server not being able to access the configuration store. Do you have a working site on Azure that is OK? If so take a look at this xml file and see what a working site should be configured like and where the configuration store is normally accessed from. Cheers Will

This was a while ago now, and Manoj's hints on where to find things for those new to using Apply Asset Package are helpful. In my case Append was failing due to the detection of a schema difference between the File Geodatabase where the Naperville features were being copied from and the enterprise geodatabase that they needed to be copied to. So to get this working I manually ran the Append tool for each feature class with 'Use the field map to reconcile schema differences' (even though I did not need to change the field mapping), but if you are doing this remember to go to the Environments tab and turn on 'Preserve Global IDs', or you will get errors later. As mentioned elsewhere using the following in the Analysis > Python window before running Apply Asset Package is helpful: import untools untools.logger.setLevel("DEBUG") arcpy.env.parallelProcessingFactor=1 However if you are using ArcGIS Pro 2.5 beta using View Details while a tool is running can cause ArcGIS Pro to crash. If installing untools it seems best to do this via Python Command Prompt > conda install -c solutionsdev/label/pro2.5 untools The reason why I am mentioning this here is that there is new in Utility Network Package Tools (at 2.5) > Conversion > Asset Package to Script which in the workspace creates python scripts which looks like what Apply Asset Package will do, but I imagine you can edit or reuse (part of) this to rerun part of the process, which could have saved me a lot of time.

Another late reply, just in case everything else has failed and you can't get untools installed. All you should need is access to https://anaconda.org/Esri/untools/files from somewhere and the ability to copy from there the win-64/untools-*.*.*-py36_0.tar.bz2 file to the target Windows machine running ArcGIS Pro. 1) copy C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\Python\envs\arcgispro-py3 to %localappdata%\ESRI\conda\envs\ 2) Rename new arcgispro-py3 folder to arcgisproclone 3?) Edit file %localappdata%\ESRI\conda\envs\proenv.txt file to have text as follows and Save; C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\Python\envs\arcgisproclone 4) Start ArcGIS Pro > Settings > Python > (Python Package Manager) > Manage Environments > Add if not there (browse for, then OK); %localappdata%\ESRI\conda\envs\arcgisproclone 5) Change radio button to make arcgisproclone Active, then OK (note: Restart ArcGIS Pro for your environment changes to take effect) 6) Exit ArcGIS Pro 7) Start ArcGIS Pro 😎 In ArcGIS Pro > Settings > Python > (Python Package Manager) > note that the Project Environment has been updated 9) Get the version number of ArcGIS Pro (About ArcGIS Pro) then Exit ArcGIS Pro 10) In browser; https://solutions.arcgis.com/utilities/help/utility-network-automation/get-started/frequently-asked-questions.htm#anchor2 11) Scroll down to "I need to install the untools on a machine that is disconnected from the Internet. Can I install the tools?" and click on the untools link, that will take you to; https://anaconda.org/Esri/untools/files 12) Find the Name matching your version eg win-64/untools-2.4.2-py36_0.tar.bz2 and click on that green text to download the file 13) Windows start > ArcGIS > Python Command Prompt > More > Open file location 14) Right click on Python Command Prompt > Open 15) At command prompt > conda install "<path to untools-2.4.2-py36_0.tar.bz2>" 16) close command window 16) Start ArcGIS Pro > Settings > Python > (Python Package Manager) > Installed Packages > note that untools is installed

Thanks for the update Melissa, I notice that ENH-000123974 has changed it status back to "In product plan". May we have some more information about the "internal dev issue that was resolved for 2.5 regarding dirty area size for GCS"? I am wondering if this resolution is why I could not replicate the large dirty areas in a completely new geographic enterprise database from a converted Naperville asset package.
