Before (some) spatial analysis, we need to make sure the coordinate reference systems of the layers are the same. I am doing `intersect` with two layers. I did that under a coordinate before. If I change the coordinate, will the result also be changed? Thank you for your help.

Hi, I used ArcGIS 10.x (I know, it is quite old - I use that for some reason ...) and get a cross-validation result before applying the interpolation. The analysis process of ArcGIS 10.x is similar to that of ArcGIS pro, and I read that the results are also similar. The cross-validation result is a point shapefile, the attribute table of which looks like this: I know some of the columns: FID - The id of the features of this generated point shape file. Shape - Type of the features. Measured - Actual value of the point. Predicted - Predicted value of the interpolation method using the leave-one-out method. Error - The difference between the predicted value and the measured value. But for the others, I am not sure what they are: StdError - Standard error? How do we calculate it? Stdd_Error - ? NormValue - ? Source_ID - The id of the original features/points? Included - It says "yes" or "no". Does that column indicate whether the point is left for the final interpolation after the cross-validation? Thanks for your time.

According to the official help page, seems the answer is not for now: A project cannot be renamed once it has been created. However, you can save a copy of the existing project file to a new location with a new name. But alternatively, someone posted a method here, you can try it - it is like ... ten steps for just renaming a project method.

I have a polygon shape file with many quadrats which are my sample plots. Each quadrat has its own plot ID. And I got images from Google map by screenshot. Thus as you can see that the number of images is equal to the number of quadrat of the polygon shape file. I want to locate the images (.jpg or .bmp) on the polygon shape file. The general practice, of course, is using Georeference > Add control point to match the features of images to the quadrats of shape file. However, I wonder if there is a quick way to make this? Because I have hundreds of images.

Hi Cappelli, Thank you for your information. I had the same problem when doing the same task in Learn GIS: lesson for data scientists, which is: when runing the code trainFC = DA.FeatureClassToNumPyArray(inputFC, ["SHAPE@XY"] + allVars) it shows Traceback (most recent call last): File "<string>", line 1, in <module> RuntimeError: The table was not found. [VAT_temp] I checked my spell of the names of attributes in USA_train layer to make sure that I didn't confuse letter O and number 0 (yes, it is letter O): Could you please help me with that? (And is there other information that I need to provide for solving the problem?) Thank you.

Hi, I am Kang, a Chinese student, now studying urban biodiversity and urban ecosystem services in Japan. Though learned ArcGIS (version 9.3 or ... don't remember) before, everything about that was gone with the homework done. So I decided to relearn GIS technology for my research recently. At first, I just tried to use some GIS basic features for the sampling of my plant investigation. However, I found GIS pro is so cool and much easier to use than ArcMap! So I decided to dive in further. I am now learning the basic features like mapping, while I am interested in spatial analysis and geostatistic. Regarding my favorite place... Here it is: a small coastal village in south China: 23.658176, 117.465358. I have seen a splendid meteor shower with my best friends when camping here.
