Hey Xander Bakker, I've messed around in the advanced settings and saw that, thank you! I was curious, though, if you are able to make it so that when you develop an application in the Webapp Builder and add the time slider widget to the application (much like in advanced settings) if you can make it so the arrow only includes a single year of data (Ex: the time slider arrow starts on 2019 and does not include 2020 in the interval, based on your example above). When you then skip ahead, it would be an arrow on 2020, 2021, etc. and not have an interval visible when skipping. Let me know what you think! Cheers, Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker! I'm curious if you have any experience editing the widgets in AGOL? I was trying to figure out if there was a way to change the time slider feature in the Time Slider widget where it has a 1 year time interval display on the map application. Is there a way to set the interval feature to include just a single year instead of time interval to display years over time? It won't let me set the interval to "0", so I was curious if there was a way to edit this on the development side in the code for the widgets? Not sure what that looks like, but just thought I'd reach out and see if you had any ideas! Cheers, Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker, Yeah it was super weird! When I am in the Map View, if I didn't have the layer checked when working in the coding environment, it would give me that error. Once I had the layer checked on my content, it worked just fine! Not sure why that happened, but I have been able to use the code on ALL the layers that I am working with, and they are all returning the correct content I want. Looks like we are good to go! Not sure if this means there is some functionality that doesn't work in Arcade when the layers aren't checked on the content tab? Now I know to have those turned on whenever I am configuring in there! Thanks again! Lindsey

HOLD UP - I think I figured it out lol! Is it literally that I just need to have the layer turned on when I am doing this?? (face palm) Xander Bakker you have been the biggest help on this! Thanks for being such a champion! I'll make sure to reach out if I have any other issues or questions, cuz you are a whiz. Thanks again! Have a great rest of your day! Cheers, Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker, I have added the code to the Health Care map that I shared with you, and it worked perfect with all those years. When I went back and added the code to the Gender map, it worked fine for the Male layer, but gave me that same error for the Female layer (which you already showed above it worked fine when you did it). All I am doing is taking the code, copying and pasting it in one layer after another, and running it to test it. Is there something in this process that would cause this error to be displayed? I didn't have any issues with the Health Care layer, so I am confused why it is giving me troubles on random layers on other Webmaps, when it works fine on others and you didn't have any issues on your end. Suggestions? Things I can check on my end? Seems like a user error on my end for sure lol. Sorry for all the belabored back and forth on this. I think I am almost there on this! You've been a great help! Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker, I was having the error appear on the Substance Availability layer for alcohol retailers per 1,000 residents. Does it matter if there are layers that only have data for a single year? Would that create that error? It seems to be successful on layers with multiple years of data. What do you think? Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker, I have shared two more examples of the webmaps that I have made with the time aware data - I created different topic webmaps that all have their own corresponding application I created in the Webapp builder just to display the data using the time slider and the layer list widgets. I think there is about 13 applications, so the 50 layers are spread out throughout those based on topic. The audience is a health foundation who is using these applications to provide local data to different partners - so I would say the main audience would be the foundation and non-profits. I wanted to update the pop ups to have all the data so that users could get all the data they needed in one place instead of having to toggle through all years, click on their census tract or what have you, so that the user experience is a little easier. Definitely open to suggestions of the best way to handle this much data on all these applications - I have a knowledge of AGOL but not enough to create the right usability I need, I think. You have been such a great help on this! Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker, I currently have about 50 layers where I am trying to find a way to display all these years of data (probably should have said that earlier lol), so it might be the source data. I was using this on a layer that is looking at Substance Availability with tobacco and marijuana retailers. So, does this mean that there is missing data (null) or the expression is equal to null, which isn't identified what to output in the code? Are you thinking each of these code strings will need to be catered to the individual layers I am looking at? Or is there a way to get around this null issue if I get that error? Seriously, thanks for your help on this! Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker! The expression worked great for the first layer I added it to for the pop up configuration. When I went to put it into another layer, I got this error: Execution Error:Cannot read property 'toString' of null What does this mean? What would I need to adjust to get this to work in different layers where this property might occur? Sorry for all the issues! Thanks for your help on this! Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker, Thanks for sending a couple different options! I think we should be able to use either the last or second to last result on the pop ups to get what we want - is it okay if I reach out if I have any additional questions? I'm going to start integrating this into my other layers! Thanks again! Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker, This is exactly what we needed! You are a lifesaver! I have a "missing" value denoted as -1 in the data. Is there a way to integrate an expression that would make that appear as "Data Not Available" within this code? Would it appear in the result section at the end? Lindsey

Hey Xander Bakker, I am working with polygons. Right now, since I transposed the data, the unique IDs for each observation reiterate 6 times, corresponding to the 6 different years of data. It kind of seems like when I shift through the time slider, the year that I am viewing is = TRUE, almost like the other years are not accessible, at least when configuring the pop ups? Thanks for helping with this - I'll create a group and add you! Lindsey

Hey Xander - Right now the data is in a transposed format, with all date values (data from 2009 to 2019) in a single column and all values associated with each year in a separate column. I transposed the data so I could get the data to be time aware, so the map is currently using the time slider element. I am having a hard time now displaying all the different years of data (2009: 10%, 2010: 11%. etc/) in the pop ups. I was trying to label the features in Arcade by using either a concatenation or a when operator, but I couldn't figure out how to get all years to display as you toggle through the different years of the data. The next thing we tried as to use append to add the labels as a text field into the existing layer instead of joining the data to export an entirely new layer, which would require re-visualizing all the layers we have right now. Is there a way you know that you can add new columns of data, either by coding or by a join, that does result in an entirely new layer being created from the join? I hope this helps clarify. Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Very new to ArcGIS so sorry if this is a dumb question. We are trying to add a new variable to a series of maps that have already been created, formatted, etc. I have tried doing this by merging the new variable using our unique key in "Append Data" but am unable to see the new variable in the var list when I do that. Any ideas? Using Arcade.
