Fort Worth, Texas, the nation’s 15th largest city, has set a goal to remove all lead service lines from its system by the end of 2021. It’s long been Fort Worth water utility policy to replace lead service lines when a water main was replaced or when found in the course of other field work. This policy resulted in numerous replacements over the years, but staff knew there were more to be found. At the same time, field crews are testing service lines on both sides of the meter to see where lead remains. In this webinar Fort Worth staff will walk you through the AMI process and its effect on the city’s lead service replacement initiative. Join Antony Odongo, Senior GIS Analyst, and Jeff Ryan, GIS Manager, to learn how Fort Worth: • Manages meter inventory GPS coordinate gathering • Analyzes in-field observational data • Utilizes various cloud-based (ArcGIS Online) tools to provide information to users
