Thanks once again! Finally figured out how to deploy looking at sample deployment options. They have been very helpful both for Mac and for Windows so far. Best, S

I am trying to deploy a default ArcGIS QT Quick project into a macOS Mojave. The ArcGISQTQuick.app runs fine on my development Mac from the build folder. On the target Mac, the app runs for a split second and exits. I went through the Mac logs in the console applications and came across the following errors. ArcGISQTQuick: QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component ArcGISQTQuick: qrc:/qml/main.qml:16 module "Esri.ArcGISRuntime" is not installed Following .pri files are added to my ArcGISRuntime.pri. !include($$priLocation/sdk/ideintegration/arcgis_runtime_qml.pri) { message("Error. Cannot locate ArcGIS Runtime PRI file") } !include($$priLocation/sdk/ideintegration/esri_runtime_qt.pri) { message("Error. Cannot locate ArcGIS Runtime PRI file") } I thought addition of those lines would have handled the .qml import paths. Is there anything else I should be doing? It seems that .qml files for Esri are not being linked/imported correctly to the deployment folder of the app. As for the kit, I use Desktop QT 5.12.2 clang 64bit with release option. I am about to finalize an app built with QT/C++ SDK. One of the remaining items I need to fix is to have the capability to give access to field users offline map support. I am kind of lost regarding how to achieve that and I am also trying to find the right licensing option for our needs. I tried running the Generate Offline Map example [1] but it gives me a gray-empty scene. I think it's because I don't have the right license/user setup to obtain the offline data. Could you give me some pointers on this? Thanks! Hello, I am wondering if QT/C++ has a support for 3D mapped buildings and other objects (such as trees)? What's the quality of data? Is it similar to Google Maps Unity SDK or Goole 3D models in general? https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/gaming/ Best, Selim

Thanks! As I understand Lite, Basic, Standard and Advanced options are available for licensing and deployment. It seems I need to contact customer representative for pricing, does not quota online. Is this licensing cost in addition to $125 per month for developer seat? Which option is useful for offline editing with QT/C++ SDK alongside online retrieval of satellite and terrain data? I am planning to give a call to customer services tomorrow too. Best, S

We built a small application that uses satellite imagery and 3D terrain information using the QT C++ SDK. Still uncertain about pricing on our end. However, looking at your license options, it seems we will start out with Builder plan as shown below. https://developers.arcgis.com/qt/10-2/qml/guide/license-your-app.htm Two questions on that: If we get the builder plan are we eligible for a Basic or a Standard level license? https://developers.arcgis.com/pricing/compare-plans/#build-apps If we ever want to do offline saving for a certain geographical location, is it possible to do that using QT/C++ SDK with the builder plan? Thanks in advance! Best, S

That didn't work but after searching some more online I managed to get some builds working using following two commands: otool -L QGroundControl.app/Contents/MacOS/QGroundControl install_name_tool -change libEsriCommonQt.dylib @rpath/libEsriCommonQt.dylib ./QGroundControl.app/Contents/MacOS/QGroundControl The issue is with mapping the dylib into the executable one way or the other. By the way, thanks for rapid responses. I really appreciate the developer community here at Esri! S

Here's some more content on my issue. I ran the following command from my release folder: $HOME/Qt/5.12.2/clang_64/bin/macdeployqt QGroundControl.app -verbose=2 I can see the following error on in the output. ERROR: no file at "usr/lib/libEsriCommonQt.dylib" I think this error is a result of linking operation failing due to write access limitation of the System Integrity whatever ... Best, S

Mac deployment tool requires three dylib files to be saved under /usr folder The link below explains it under section named "Using QT's Mac Deployment Tool". https://developers.arcgis.com/qt/latest/cpp/guide/deploy-your-app.htm I tried manually copying libEsriRuntimeQt.dylib under that folder because it was not copied and came across the following issue, that folder does not allow me to modify it. https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/237778/cant-write-to-usr-even-with-sudo Does anyone have a solution for this? Long story short, I think my final .app file would work fine if I had a way to just put that dylib file into it. Best, S

I think adding those files worked for me. Thanks for the fast response! Just out of curiosity. Were they documented anywhere? I am just wondering if there is a deployment guide I missed somewhere.

My problem is actually quite similar to the one posted in [1]. I am trying to deploy one of the sample apps at the moment, GetElevationAtPoint. I build it as release on my Windows 10 laptop. Afterwards, I copy the executable to an empty folder. In that folder I run: C:\Qt\5.12.2\msvc2017_64\bin\windeployqt.exe --release GetElevationAtPoint.exe There are still some .dll files left. I grab (and copy under my release folder) runtimecore.dll, ArcGISRuntimeToolkitCppApi.dll and EsriCommonQt.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS SDKs\Qt100.5\sdk\windows\x64\bin I do the same with all .dll files under: C:\Qt\5.12.2\msvc2017_64\bin Finally I copy vcruntime140.dll and msvcp140.dll from the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Professional\Common7\IDE\Remote Debugger\x64 Once these steps are completed, the app actually runs on a target machine. However, it gives me a complete white screen. I can still see some of the UI artifacts but the main map layout is just complete white. I haven't been able to figure out why that is the case so far. Some help would be great. I should also mention that I haven't added any license token to the code. Is that required? This is just an in-house release for testing, so it's not going to customers or outside world. Finally, the app seems to be 300 mb with all .dll files and everything. Is it possible to reduce that size? Thanks a lot! Hi James, thanks for the answer! I ended up starting my main program in full-screen from the code and did some code removal and it seems faster now. The lag on the tutorial application was mostly due to scene getting loaded. Although it does slightly feel laggy in higher resolution.
