Further response from support indicates the workaround is to publish the custom print service from ArcMap, which I have tested and it does solve the problem for now while Esri investigates the issue further.

Hi Ihab, Thanks for the reply. Yes I did republish the service with the credentials and the problem persists. Tech support has advised they believe it may be a problem with the 10.9 update, but it is not confirmed yet.

I had a custom print service running in standalone ArcGIS Server 10.8.1. The service was published from ArcGIS Pro, and used built-in credentials to allow printing secured feature services. After upgrading the server to 10.9, this service stopped working. Server logs show: Failed to create layer from service at: [REST Endpoint of map service] The built-in credentials have privileges on the secure services. Printing web maps with public services works as expected. I have installed all patches for 10.9. I have a support ticket in with tech support and no solution yet, but I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue with custom print services and secured map services with AGS 10.9?

We have a workflow where a user needs to open an ArcGIS Pro project containing a custom task and save that project somewhere else on the network as a different file name. We need the default geodatabase to be saved in this new location as well and have the new project link to that new default geodatabase. Basically the original project is a template that the user needs to be able to manipulate for a specific property. I believe there used to be a "Save as copy" function, but I don't think it is available anymore. Can anyone suggest a workaround to do this? Using Save As just creates a new aprx file that uses the original default geodatabase. I could copy the whole project folder in Windows explorer, but then the user has to go into the project and manually update the sources of all of the feature classes. The users doing this will not be able to do that. Thanks

I'm having the same issue. I've created a task and worked on it on and off for a few days. Saved it yesterday at the end of the day, opened the project today and the task shows with a red exclamation point beside it in the Catalog pane and cannot be opened. If I try to open it I get a message saying "Unable to open the task. It cannot be found". When I click the red exclamation symbol nothing happens.

Hi Zachary Sutherby, We are experiencing something similar with Collector where we are presented with a domain credential challenge when a user opens a web map on a mobile device outside our network. We are using a standalone AGS deployment with web adaptor and IWA web tier authentication. The device has a VPN on it logged in with the users domain credentials. Is it possible to avoid this domain credential challenge? It sometimes occurs multiple times for one web map. Thank you.

The script works great when downloading a hosted feature layer from AGOL to a file geodatabase in ArcPro. However, when I change the Output Feature Class/Table parameter to an enterprise geodatabase I get the error: When I choose the output feature class it automatically adds [Database name].SDE in front of the feature class name: Is there a way to get this to work with an enterprise geodatabase? thanks

Can a python script in ArcMap be used to download the metadata.xml files for all items in my ArcGIS Online account into a local folder? If anyone has done anything like this I'd really appreciate some help. I can update the metadata.xml file using: def update_metadata(user, item, token, metadata):
d = {"overwrite": "true",
"token" :token,
"f":"json"}
f = {'metadata': ('metadata.xml', open(metadata, 'rb'), 'text/xml', {'Expires': '0'})}
url = r'https://www.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/content/users/{0}/items/{1}/update'.format(user, item)
r = requests.post(url, data = d, files = f)
response = json.loads(r.content)
if 'error' in response.keys():
raise Exception(response['message'], response['details'])
return response thanks

I am using this script to overwrite a vector tile package and service in ArcGIS Online. It has worked great up until July 22. https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=56fccd6ea5e848ffb1674ce0fde2a0df Now I am seeing this error in the log file.: SSLError(MaxRetryError('HTTPSConnectionPool(host=\'tiles.arcgis.com\', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: <url> (Caused by SSLError(SSLError("bad handshake: Error([(\'SSL routines\', \'tls_process_server_certificate\', \'certificate verify failed\')],)",),))',),) Anyone know what might cause this? thanks

According to the docs, it seems like the web map has to be shared with public, and in my tests I've found this to be true: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/share-maps/embed-maps-groups.htm (see items #2 and #3 in the above link) If I cannot embed a web map that is not shared with public, is there a work-around to accomplish this?
