Question... I see on some of the courses in different learning plans that they say needs maintence. What does that mean? Do we still have access to the course? I am having a hard time with some of the new user lessons... I am working on some of the Learn ArcGIS for New Users and I am finding that the directions in the lessons are not a match to the actual function of the new map viewer. So for instance I had a very hard time following the Create a policy map to address health conditions lessons because the histogram are is not clear, the invert map function is not labeled well to find it. When I get down to the filter data are and get to step 9 my map looks nothing like what it should be per the lesson. This has happened in other lessons too. Have any suggestions? I have a question about Esri Certifications. I am absolutely clueless and am having a lot trouble finding the right kind of certification and how much it costs in total. I am entry-level with some ArcGIS experience, mainly tutorials through Esri. I have not actually done ArcGIS mapping on the job. I am doing this to help me change focuses in my career and get started in some way in GIS. I think anyway this might be a good start to get going. Does anyone recommend a type of certification for my situation and how much it costs including training and the exam? I am interested in the general urban planning industry. Hey all! I am going through some ArcGIS tutorials and trying to build a gis map of environmentally hazardous material sites. I'm in the middle of that. Doing it to learn GIS and ArcGIS and to grow in the industry. I want to learn to do Story Maps to add to this project. Keep in mind I cannot pay for courses, still unemployed and looking, but am super interested in learning about them. I want to create one to grow in also to start to make them in helping me learn. I am a visual learner and anthropologist and I love gathering data and making stories and ideas out of them. I feel this program is an awesome way to do that.
