Hi Ann, I had added our (publicly accessible) Portal-published custom locator as one of the locators to make available to all users in our AGOL org (as an admin under Organization->Settings->Utility Services) and added that rest url under the Geocoding section. That seemed to be what made the locator available in field maps; however I don't know much more about changing which locators to use in Field Maps other than how you set up the web map itself in the web map settings. My issue is that Field Maps still wants users to sign in to the Portal account to use that custom geocoder, even though that service is publicly shared from our Portal. Does this answer your question?

I have a custom locator that I published on our Portal and set sharing to 'Everyone.' It also has been added under out AGOL org's Geocoders (under org settings->Utilities). I notice how in the documentation, it is phrased that here is where you can add locators for which 'members of your organization will have access to...', so I'm not sure if actually possible, but I'd really like any public facing apps hosted on our AGOL org to default to using our custom locator that lives on our Portal ArcGIS Server. This includes the maps within Survey123 Surveys, maps in ArcGIS Field Apps, and anything built with Experience Builder or Instant apps. Currently apps trying to use that custom locator still prompt the user to sign in to our Portal, even though it is a publicly shared locator. Any advice or clarification?

I'm having this issue too; is there really no solution?? I'm getting: AttributeError: 'IOLoopKernelManager' object has no attribute 'kernel_cmd' *update* I have discovered this is only an issue on my cloned env, but not my default one. I would like to fix this for my clone env, since I like to use the one where I've modified to use spyder. Any suggestions for fixing the cloned env?

After installation is there anything special required for environment setup? And did you install under the user account or elsewhere on the machine? I ran into some issues with cmd recognizing the python.exe inputs. I think I saw another post elsewhere in this thread about installing ArcGIS Pro just to get Python setup...

I'd like more documentation/guidance for installing python on the Datastore machine. I don't see a python download on MyEsri and going directly from the Python website there's lots of versions to choose from. Our deployment has Datastore on a separate machine from Portal or Server, so no python installed.

1. I had been using ArcGIS Pro 2.8.2, but after upgrading to 2.8.3 recently the same issue persists. 2. The locator was not built with any administrative zones. The reference data consisted of our NextGen 911 data for Address Points (Point Address role) and Road Centerlines (Street Address role). The locator is only for one county (which includes two incorporated towns that are included in our 911 authority) and only intended to geocode on addresses that would be in our jurisdiction. 3. I was very purposeful in setting the 'Match with no zone' property to 'Yes.' I also added a few more characters to the defaults for recognized road intersections ('/' ,'&', '@','|', 'and') etc 4. Input address table only includes the street address, i.e. '100 MAIN ST' without any administrative zone. One of the more puzzling things is that my older locators (separate ones for Address Points vs Streets) created from the same reference data but with the 'Create Address Locator' tool perform perfectly and match almost 100% or records each time. Now that Esri has deprecated that tool, I essentially need to rely on never deleting those locators and rebuilding them as needed if the new one doesn't do the job. Other strange behavior: input address that get a score of 0 using the new locator (in the output fc of the 'Geocode Addresses' tool), when entering the same exact input into the ArcPro Locate pane, using the same exact multirole locator that had been used in the tool, finds the unmatched address no problem. I did open a support case with Esri yesterday, but I am quite interested to see if anyone else encounters this behavior.

I have a custom multi-role locator that has two reference tables/layers: one of address points, and one of roads. This locator works great both as a published service and as a locator to use in the Locate pane in ArcGIS Pro. The issue I'm having is with geocoding a table of 1000+ rows by address, and all address in the table are legitimate and populated. For whatever reason, there's 20 addresses that seem to be unmatched every time (score of 0, status 'U'), however when I directly type the same exact value in the table's 'Single Line Address' field into the Locate pane, referencing the very same geocoder, it comes back as a match. What's going on here? Does the Geocode Address tool 'max out' at more than 1000 rows in a table? 1100 some addresses still get matched and another 18 are tied.

One strange this I now notice (and have no idea how it came to be this way): the feature layer's _stakeholder view on AGOL does not include the problematic fields. No clue why..... at any rate i'm updating the view definition to include those fields and am feeling rather confident this should resolve the issue.

Thanks for the questions. Some additional details: Survey was created in Connect version 3.7, originally published a little over a year ago (circa June 2020) Published and used on our AGOL org account (we do have Enterprise as well, but including photos in feature reports was too crucial to not keep in AGOL) Form is opened on the Survey123 app on an iPad/iOS, and the settings are set to always open in the app. I, the survey owner, am seem to have pretty consistent view/access to the problem field (summary comments {summary_com} which is a basic text field type). The reports I generate come out fine and include all necessary data from the entry. The primary inspector reviews/edits survey results as needed on the Survey123 website in the Data tab and generates feature reports. He cannot see the summary comments field on a selected feature in the feature details on the right hand side. But if he clicks the pencil to edit the entry, the Comments field appears (and includes whatever data had been submitted). After closing the editor, the comments field goes away again. 'Missing' fields are also not visible in the table for the inspector. If a field is hidden for the inspector on the data tab on Survey123 website, it also comes out blank for resulting feature reports.

This is a rather perplexing one...I have one particular question (text field) on an inspection built with Survey123 Connect that sometimes 'disappears' from view when on the Survey123 site. When this happens, there is nothing included for that particular field/question on the feature report. I am the survey owner, and initially it appeared to only hide a couple fields from on of my inspectors, but now it sometimes hides it from me as well. Leaving the survey page and then re-navigating to it (i.e. refresh) seems to have helped once, but this will be problematic for inspectors needing to generate feature reports.

Here's my "stupid question"....where exactly are those logs getting stored? There's not that much disk space occupied in the 'logs' folder on our portal machine. I'm also not sure what to make of the 'refreshing log display' on server manager of running forever.

I'm having a few issues, but one thing that seems to recur too often is the portal logs filling up with the error: The transaction logs of the portal are consuming more than 5GB of disk space. Run a full backup using the webgisdr tool to clear out these logs. even within a day after I ran the last full backup. I also have a published locator service that keeps failing, and restarting the service from server manager is not fixing. Server Manager logs referring to that locator say What gives? I have also been intermittently getting 'booted out' from having access to server manager, even though I'm an administrator. It seems to me that the authentication from Portal is tripping up somehow. **UPDATE** I think I found part of my problem, since the last time I had an Esri support call it seems I forgot to set the Portal log level from 'debug' to 'warning', so naturally those piled up fast. Our Portal machine still has been acting strange with authenticating various secure apps access to Server Manager, but I don't know if the error logs were related.

I realize this is an old post, but I'm having this issue myself now in ArcPro 2.7. Message includes: 0 Matched (-nan(ind)%) 0 Unmatched (-nan(ind)%) 0 Tied (-nan(ind)%) How should I interpret this? My excel spreadsheet has some 1600 rows of addresses.
