I think what you're looking for is the 'classified' method rather than stretch. From there look for the option to do 'manual intervals', rather than jenks/natural breaks which I think is the default.

Is there a post for dummies like me about how to upgrade the JS API? Out apps were built using OOTB WAB rather than developers edition.

I'm trying to delete a couple of stale feature classes from our enterprise geodatabase via right click--> delete, and it appears to "work", but then the next time I open ArcPro the layer is there again! I have tried doing this connected both as the database administrator and as the geodatabase admin on this sde-owned schema.

Thanks for that feedback. Silly question: if my apps were built using the non-developers edition of WAB, then how do I update those?

How do you think this would relate if we have an app built in the browser built-in version of WAB? I found this post because I have recently had complaints about a layer's popups not appearing in Chrome, on a WAB (built-in) app I created on our Portal (10.8). The service is a referenced map service sourced from our federated server. The only common denominators seem to be popups not consistently working for Chrome users on laptops or tablets, using a wifi network (both inside our org and outside customers). I've yet to experience the behavior myself from my own workstation.

Yea, Catalog Pane in Pro. Was quite mysterious. Since the feature class and domains weren't overly complicated or large, I cut my losses and manually added the domains in. Even trying to copy the domains in gave me an error saying an item of the same path already existed; I had to alter the domain name to get it to cooperate. If the initial copy / paste operations failed, I don't understand why it still 'believed' it was getting those same domains added, even though they don't show up in the geodatabase domain list. I'm a very long way from retirement..

What are the circumstances under which copy/paste will not work? I'm simply trying to copy a polygon feature class, including domains, into an enterprise geodatabase and it acts like it's working but then just never results in a new pasted layer. I'm connected as the geodatabase administrator and it gives me no error messages. UPDATE: My workaround ended up being 'import feature class', but now I have to manually re-add the domains. I'm trying to copy the domains from the original feature class under Design > Domains, but that is also not working accordingly either.

I'd just like to throw my hat in to say I'm having the same issues. It's painful after upgrading to 2.7. Even with one layer turned on that's using a definition query (sourced from an SDE enterprise database, version 10.7.1), any changes I try to make are painfully slow.

Is this why my standalone script doesn't produce an output excel table, but the same code works when run within ArcGIS Pro? This behavior seems to only have started after upgrading to ArcPro 2.7. I have a script that runs a series of steps to update a feature class, and at the end I like to save a copy of the table as an Excel file. The code points to a path for the table, and it always says it runs successfully (or at least it doesn't throw any errors), but when I go looking for the output table in Windows file explorer, nothing is there.

I've been setting up non-GIS colleagues to use Portal-published content in ArcGIS Pro, and the using the Feature Search in the Locate tool returns empty results every time regardless of layer used. The Server Manager logs give an error related to the SQL Server database on which our enterprise database is stored (and served as a referenced layer in our Portal). Other than finding this error, I'm not sure where to go next. The fields being searched are strings and are not indexed. I'm not sure if indexing is an option for me, as I would need to interrupt our services to end all database connections each time to rebuild them. However I'm not even sure if the lack of indexing is the problem. UPDATE: It appears I was able to solve the search functionality in ArcGIS Pro; I did not see earlier at the very bottom of the attribute fields list that it was defaulting to search 'Equals' on the GlobalID field, which obviously would not have returned any results anyway. All the same, I'm not entirely sure why or what the above DBMS errors addressing and if I need to do anything about them.

I ended up being able to publish from a different ArcGIS Pro project and separating a few of the datasets from one another into separate services. They all are stored in the same enterprise database, so I'm still not sure if it was a problem with the Pro project of the datasets. Thank you though.

This is a new problem that emerged; I'm trying to publish a map image service to our Portal in Enterprise 10.8, with data as a reference to our registered enterprise geodatabase. There are no warning messages pre-publish, but it fails everything with a link to view the logs. On our server manager and Server Admin logs is see various errors related to the PublishTools.GPServer. No error reports related to this are in our server logs directly on the server machine. The Data Store is registered, and I even tried added a Portal item of the registered database in Server Manager to accommodate the 10.8 changes.

I have no answers, but I'd like to chime in I'm seeing some similar error messages. We have a single base deployment on with separate machines running ArcGIS Server, Portal, and Data Store, respectively. In our Server Manager Logs, there are very many for our various services (including Locators and map image 7 feature services) with: "Failed to return the service configuration for '__/__.MapServer'. Could not connect to the ArcGIS component at URL [Portal machine]:7443/arcgis/sharing/rest/content/items/[item id]. The ArcGIS component on that machine may not be reachable at this time.Error: Read timed out As an end user viewing our various map applications, everything *looks* okay, but these messages don't instill confidence. Given that the error is coming from the Server machine, but referencing being unable to connect to the Portal machine, what more can I do to investigate this? I'll also note another similarity with the OP about being redirected to the login page. While working in Server Manager, it has started redirecting me to login more frequently, even if I've only been signed in for a minute or two. We use a single-sign-on authentication through Okta.

I have the same problem at my organization. No secure services have ever printed, whether on Portal 10.7.1 or after the 10.8 upgrade. I had a support case open with Esri on this which turned end up closing with the 'upgrade to 10.8' answer, but that didn't really pan out.
