I've got it down to around 450Mb, but it still won't load in survey123. But I've uploaded it to AGOL and I can see it without any issues.

Hi, what's the file size limitation for sideloading a *.tpk file onto a device for Survey123? I can see a very poor resolution 83Mb custom imagery file, but not a nicely detailed (which I need to have) 3Gb or 4Gb .tpk file As In, if I load the 83Mb file into the maps folder on the device, I can see it as a basemap to be used in survey123, but the 3 & 4Gb files aren't listed as a basemap option.

Thanks! What I found was it wasn't even 'Unknown' It was completely blank, and the expanders under it were gone. Too bad I didn't screengrab it.

OK, This does seem to be a bug...I tried to replicate it to screengrab it and show you, only it's not doing it! Maybe you can try and replicate it. Basically, I wanted to rename the tab, from Main Tab to something else, but was wondering what to call it; I'd already deleted the name and thought "Oh I'll just come back to it later" so I clicked OK and left it. When I went back to it later, the tab listing was there, but all the subgroups under it didn't have the the expand triangles so i couldn't add new tools to the groups... I had to can it all and start again with a new tab from scratch. That's how I came across it. Now if I delete the name, it changes to 'Unknown'. Anyway. As you can see those reorder buttons are missing and really needed! If you customise a tab it makes it much nicer to move them afterwards, especially if you add new tools that you realise you need. Currently you have to have your tool ordering plan in advance and insert them in the order you want. Nice that we're getting the ability to reorder the quick access toolbar - but is it possible to make it even better by right-click > move/reorder directly on it? It seems long winded having to go into options to do it. Thanks!

*Posting here because there isn't a category for ArcGIS Pro - Sorry!* I would like to make up some custom menu tabs for ArcGIS Pro and I'm finding it excruciatingly limiting. For example, if you create a custom tab, or edit an existing one, you can't re-order it with the other tabs, like you can with MS office products. Office, for example has move up move/down buttons on the right (see attachments). Pro does not have this functionality. Moreover, when you add a new group, make it so that you can add an options button to get back vto the options window instead of having to click on Project and get taken out of your map session. There's a bug. If you delete the group name, you cannot get back into that group to add or remove tools. The little expandable triangle thing disappears. The only option is to delete the group and start again. Also, can it be possible to reorder things on the quick access toolbar, so that you can group certain tools together, e.g. right-click "Move tool" or Customize quick access toolbar. Again, this functionality is available in Office products like excel, word etc. Finally, can it be possible to add groups and tools directly to a ribbon tab, e.g. Right-click on the massive amount of wasted empty space in the Data tab and "Add New Group" > Add Tool" and "Remove Group > "Remove tool" Thanks in advance.

Ah, I figured it out. I had to edit the JSON file since it was a coded domain. It would be nice if it somehow updated the domain though, or we could add to the domain some other way in AGOL. Editing the JSON file is not a pleasant experience - this JSON file runs to 4000 lines

Hi, I have a tree survey, and I added in and extra tree species to the xls form choice list, and I can see it in the survey123 app, but when I select it, save it and upload it, in the feature layer, it's not there. Also, existing records are not being updated in the feature layer. For example, I edited: Malus x adstringens 'Thunderchild' (Thunderchild Crabapple) To Malus 'Thunderchild' (Thunderchild Crabapple) because it was too long for a chart (graph labels are only on single lines) The change is reflected in the survey123 app but not in the feature layer. I have republished the survey several times.

Hi , yes I've tried the merge with the join (concatenate) option, creating an extra field and trying to populate it with the outputs from the EXT fields, but it didn't work, like with the union option, I went from a dataset containing ~12,000 polygons to one containing ~76,000 polygons. Both options give me say 4 polygons, instead of a single one. Trying to merge them into one based on a now common attribute means I lose the data. However, there are big topology issues with these datasets which I need to address first. If you can put me through the steps you did to get to what you have in that screenshot, that would be perfect, I can save it for later....that is exactly what I am looking for!

Hi, I have an interesting problem. I have two separate polygon layers in ArcMap/ArcPro One layer, B, is made up of smaller polygons and contained within another layer, A. B contains an EXT attribute, which can be different, so for example layer B has three polygons completely contained by layer A, and these three polygons have different EXT attributes, say 1, 4 and 7. I would like to merge these EXT attributes into layer A, so that layer A has a field called EXT, containing 1,4,7 from the layer B. There is nothing unique between these two layers so I cannot do a relate or table join, I can only do a join based on spatial location, or try using dissolve, merge geoprocessing tools. I've tried all of these and haven't gotten the result I want. Is this actually possible? I don't want to sum, or average or range these EXT values. Iwant to preserve them. I want them all in a new EXT field for A, preferably separated by a space or comma. Thanks

Does anyone know how to rotate street labels for AGOL, using arcade? I have a field called angle which can be used to rotate the label. The feature is a series of short line features, I've turned off symbology so they don't display and have the street name label turned on.

"Limiting the max record count to 2000 records does no prevent more than a total of 2000 records from being requested from the service, but does keep requests more concise for server performance. Check out this blog for more details on how ArcGIS Online makes requests to the data." Yes, that is correct, but....If you run your query, you click on those dot thingies, and export to .csv, it will only export 2,000 records. To get all the records, you have to scroll, scroll, scroll and scroll down, down, down, right to the end of all the records that appear in the search pane, then export. This isn't obvious, and this is what I'm saying. I thought there was a problem with the map, and kept refreshing/adding layers/removing layers/rebuilding it to see if it would bring up all records for export. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting why it would only bring up 2,000 records for export, even after I had increased the MaxRecordsCount to 20,000, and it was saying in small print '10,756 records found' (Hmmm, okay, so it has 'found' 10,756 records, so it knows that they're there, MaxRecordsCount = 20,000, correct layer is being queried, but why is it exporting only 2,000 to .csv?) It was purely by accident that I happened to start scrolling deep down through the records that more of them started magically appearing when I exported (Again I thought this was a problem with the map, or the way the all browsers were rendering things). If you don't scroll all the way down, you'll only get a few thousand extra, so you have to be careful and check the .csv against the no. of records found to make sure you're got them all. If the user sees that it has found 10,756 records, then it should grab all of them for export. There should be no scrolling required. The exact same problem applies to saving features to My Content. Moreover, this isn't a complicated query, it just runs a single query against a single Yes/No field in a table containing about 15 fields. Again, performance wise, this is where we have found that Firefox and Chrome stand out way above IE and Edge because these last two browsers get completely bogged down and stopped responding trying to scroll down through the (tiled service) records.

I see. So we could just create a generic level 1, e.g. 'routing_services' account and let the apps use that then?

Thanks Allison, I was looking at that, but wanted it to be setup for an individual feature and/or map to access, but I see it's the option for all features and maps that will use the widgets. I will try that out and see! Does it have to be a level 1 or 2 user account?

Hi Allison, could the Near Me widget documentation you and I posted here be updated to reflect this fact? Moving forward, how about being able to store a user credential with AGOL (In the settings) so that public maps could use widgets that consume service credits? Not everybody is going to be adopting ArcGIS Server. Can this capability be added to AGOL in a future release?
