Hi there! Sorry to hear that you are running into issues! I have a few questions and suggestions for resolving this issue. What version of ArcGIS Enterprise are you using? Who is the owner of the tile layer, web map and group? What is your role in the organization (i.e. are you a default Administrator)? Is the owner of the tile layer and web map a member of the group you are attempting to share these items to? Are you a member of the group that you are attempting to share to? The layers within a web map should be shared in the same way to ensure that users can access both the map and view the layers within. When the layer is not at the same share level as the web map, you may see errors that "items may not be visible to others because they are shared differently". I suggest attempting to share the web map and the layers within the web map to the group and the organization individually on their respective item details pages. If you do not see the ability to share one or more of the items to the desired group or share level, then that indicates that you may not have the privileges to share the items or that the group membership requirements may not be met. Hi there, Thank you @ThomasUhrePedersen and @GeorgeBrown1. We do not provide patches for new functionality or enhancements in older releases of ArcGIS Enterprise. The ArcGIS Enterprise product team is aware of the recycle bin feature but it is not in the current product plan for the 11.4 release. If possible, we recommend opening an official user enhancements through Esri Support, as this allows the Esri Support team to document the specific use cases and requirements from each customer. Hi there! To answer this, I'm going to define what user types, member roles and privileges are and how they together detemine what a member can do within an organization. All organization members must be assigned a user type and a member role. The user type assigned to a member determines what capabilities (level) they have within the organization and what app licenses they have by default. The member role is a set of privileges and further defines this to what access members have within the organization. It is the combination of user type and privileges assigned through a member role that determines what members can do within an organization. Members assigned a Creator or GIS Professional user type can be assigned any member role, including the default Administrator role, which can edit and delete other members content. However, you can assign a member role that does not have administrative privileges to edit or delete other members content, such as the default Publisher role. Yes - you can install License Manager on the same machine that Portal for ArcGIS is installed. It is light weight and does not require a separate server. It is the machine information where License Manager is installed that you will input when creating a Portal for ArcGIS license file. If you do not plan to use the ArcGIS Pro with your GIS Professional Advanced license, it might be a good idea to reach out to your account manager (or whoever you work with to determine your licenses) and ask that you have Creator user types instead of GIS Professional user types. That way you would not need to think or deal with License Manager at all. Just a thought! Good luck!

Hi, Thank you for your comment. The relationship between ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS License Manager and ArcGIS Pro can be confusing – I’m hoping the information below will help. First, I want to clarify the minimum license requirements for Portal for ArcGIS. You must include at least one foundational user type, which are user types that have administrative capabilities. You require at least one of these user types to assign to your Initial Administrator Account (IAA), which all organizations must have. Foundation user types include Creator, GIS Professional Basic, GIS Professional Standard and GIS Professional Advanced. The licensing interface on My Esri will indicate that you need at least one foundational user type and will list the foundational user types you have available. When you license one or more of the following apps using named user licensing through ArcGIS Enterprise (meaning you include them in the Portal for ArcGIS license file), you will need to configure an ArcGIS License Manager with your Portal for ArcGIS component: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Drone2Map and ArcGIS AllSource (new at 11.1). As you noted, the GIS Professional Advanced user type includes ArcGIS Pro Advanced, which is why you are being asked to enter your ArcGIS License Manager information. If you do not plan to use ArcGIS Pro, or the user type extensions included in the GIS Professional Advanced user type, then I suggest using a different foundational user type that does not include ArcGIS Pro, such as the Creator user type. @chill_gis_dude - there is a known issue in ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8, 10.8.1 and 10.9 where the members last login date is not updated consistently. There is a defect for tracking this issue, BUG-000129529, which is resolved in 10.9.1. The fix for this issue is included in the lastest Portal for ArcGIS Security patches for 10.8.1, but there is no equivalent patch available for 10.9.0.

@FraserHand - I believe the issue you are seeing is the same as that reported here: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-enterprise-portal-questions/portal-for-arcgis-11-1-can-no-longer-share-items/m-p/1287662 If the member owns or manages more then 30 viewOnly groups, which are groups that are configured to only allow the group owner or managers to contrubte to, then the query to fetch groups will fail. Esri support has a defect for this issue, BUG-000158232, and the development team is looking into this. If you have Esri Support, then I encourage you to request to be added to this defect and to share your specific workflow / scenario with the support team.

@DavidColey - the development team is looking into BUG-000158232 now. However, it does appear that this is an issue in the frontend only when attempting to share items through the Enterprise portal. I do not expect sharing through the ArcGIS Api for Python or through the sharing api to be impacted.

Thank you for reporting this issue @NicolasGIS. There is a workaround available to help in this situation. In the case that you have over 29 groups that are configured to only allow group owners and managers to contribute, you can share items to these groups from the group's content page. I know that the likely more popular share item workflows happen from the Content or item details pages, but this is another workflow that does not seem impacted by this issue.

Hi Jamie, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise do not support changing the color of the Content page banner. However, there is a feature called the Information Banner that is available in both ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise that can help differentiate between environments. When configured, the information banner appears across the Home, Gallery, Scene Viewer, Groups, Content and Organization pages. Hi Randy, If your Enterprise portal is configured with a hosting server, then you should be able to add a non-spatial csv or xlsx as a hosted table item. You can enable editing and share the hosted table like any other portal item. Navigate to the Content page > Add Item > From Computer. Browse and select the csv or xlsx containing the table and ensure the "publish this file as a hosted layer" option is enabled and select "None, add as table" for the locate by features option. Here is a screenshot of this from the Enterprise portal at 10.6: Users can then edit the table directly in the data tab under the item details or by adding the table to the Map Viewer and opening the table. I am not sure when support was added for this, but this functionality has been in since at least ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5. Hope this helps, Marley
