In ArcGIS online I am using a secured service from our ArcGIS Server (10.4.1) within a simple web map. This web map is being used in a simple app created by web app builder. When view this app on an iphone or ipad, a challenge window will not appear and therefore I cannot pass credentials to get the map to load. In Android: Challenge window appears and I can pass my credentials successfully through to view the application and all its content. In iOS: IF the service is secured no browsers will allow for authentication from the server and the layers will not load. IF the service is unsecured the application loads fine. I was told the below bug is related to this issue. Has there anything been done about this. Is there another way to view secured services within iOS? Defect ID: BUG-000095629 Synopsis: ArcGIS Online web maps and Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS applications do not challenge for Windows authentication on iOS devices when referencing ArcGIS for Server web-tier secured services with NT LAN Manager (NTLM) authentication.

Is there a fix for this? I have a new installation of portal and some users of the portal do not see the sign in button?

Joe, this is great. When you sent this message I was literally on a call with ESRI about this topic. ESRI support, do you have an ETA on when this will be fixed?

This is happening in multiple browsers. Safari, Chrome. This is not a custom authentication window, it should be whatever is inherent in a browser. I should see the same authentication window one sees when they view a rest endpoint that is secure. Just uses that same authentication window so you can pass credentials.

Correct. There are no popups because there is nothing to pop up. Expected behavior would be to get an authentication window where i can pass my credentials. I get this auth window when I am using a android.

Sorry for the delay. I have more details about what is going on. I am trying to create a web app in arcgis online with the layers closed to only to users with proper credentials. To answer your question, yes. I can get to the REST url once I provide the proper credentials to the authentication window. When using iphone/ipad the web app loads, but layers will not. I am receiving a message saying "The layer #### cannot be added to the map." I am not being offered that authentication window. I am able to load the map properly using an android. It appears as though it is something with iOS?

Clarification. Web adaptor is authenticated using our iis domain network accounts for our organization. It was succesfully internally becasue web adaptor recognizes our internal network. Problem is that when using an ipad it does not and there is no prompt for logging into the domain account. Just says not available.

When I attempted to do this the map just says "layers not available". The goal is to create an application that is open to public, but with secure layers since we cannot have unlimited viewers for our organization.

We have been experiencing an unusual issue with our enterprise versioned geodatabase. We have 9 active versions within our geodatabase. We have a nightly python script that loops through these versions and reconciles and posts. According to the nightly script log the script gets to a certain version and it hangs and does not finish. After manually opening this users version and trying to reconcile and post the reconcile seems to work, but when posting this specific version it hangs in ArcMap as well. We are not sure what could cause this issue and are having a hard time moving forward. We have deleted this version and created a new one and the user seems to be able to r/p fine in ArcMap. I would like to know if there are instances where user versions can become corrupted. Is this something that can happen from time to time in a versioned geodatabase?
