I have a couple of feature layers published to my federated hosting server for my Portal. I've enabled time on them when I published them, and their respective rest endpoints all have a time info section: But, when I go to enable time on the layer's overview page, there's no option to do so: I need to be able to use that time field for analysis on a webmap for a client, but something's eluding me here... interestingly enough, I have another feature layer that has no option to enable time on its overview page, but does have it enabled anyway, and I can enable/disable the time slider on webmaps with it. I know it's possible, but I can't seem to remember how I did it with that one layer. Any ideas?

Eric, I'm liking the Motion Calculator idea; I'm also in the same position as Elle. Do you know if it will work in or be updated for 10.7.x?

Stefan, Excellent! I had read in the documentation that if they *were* federated, I'd need to upgrade everything, but I wasn't quite sure what would happen if they weren't federated. Thanks for the clarification!

My license for GeoEvent 10.6.1 has evidently expired, but I have a license for 10.7.1, so I'm not SOL... Currently, all of my map services for GeoEvent are published to Portal 10.6.1. Am I going to cause issues if I upgrade GeoEvent to 10.7.1, but leave Portal on 10.6.1? The two servers are not federated.

This is absolutely something I would love to see still. Currently my workaround is to set transparencies for the items that cover up others, but I would love to not have to do this, and set the draw order myself.

Jonathan, I think this is the direction we're going to go with this one. It does complicate the configuration of the load balancer, but it seems that it's capable of producing the outcomes I'd like to see. Thanks!

I have a webmap with several overlapping polygon features, some of which are completely surrounded by other polygons. This unfortunately winds up hiding some of the smaller ones, rendering them invisible on the maps. I'd like to be able to reorder each feature within that layer so that the larger layers are at the bottom and not hiding other polygons within them. Or, at the very least, I'd like to be able to make a feature completely transparent, for the same reason. At the moment my solution is to have three separate layers splitting the polygons up in such a way that no one polygon completely hides another. This is cumbersome to maintain, and also tends to look rather awkward in the map legend and layer list.

Struggling with ideas on setting up and configuring ArcGIS Server in a highly available environment. Suppose it's worth mentioning that I'm struggling with the technical details behind the concept. In my setup, I have two ArcGIS Servers set up on two separate machines, clustered together, with web adaptor installed on server 1. The web adaptor sees both no problem, as I expected since they're both part of the same site and same cluster. On a third, virtual machine, is our third-part load balancer, and the server site is set up with a geodatabase residing on a fourth server registered as a data store. In the process of testing it, I realized that if I shut down a service on one server, the corresponding service on the other site also gets shut down. This is not what I wanted to happen, and runs counter to the reason why I and others are standing this up in the first place. What am I missing here that is causing this? I was also reading through other threads in trying to find my answer and noticed that those who have a setup similar to mine usually have their web adaptor on the same machine as their third party load balancer. Is my having the WA on the same machine as one of my ArcGIS servers going to have any adverse effects down the road?

Update for posterity: Worked with ESRI support on this. It came down to the file extension that the imagery was uploaded as (.sid) not being recognized by IIS by default. Couple of options here, first would be to reupload as a .tiff or other image type that IIS does recognize by default. The other would be to add the .sid MIME type to IIS, which is what I wound up doing. Works fine in all of my maps, including Cityworks.

I have an ArcGIS 10.5.1 Server with the Image Server extension enabled. Everything is set up the way I want it, and I have two SIDs published to the server for use. However, I've noticed that when I use the services in various maps, including ArcGIS Online as well as Cityworks, the service will throw a 'MIME type ('text/plain') is not executable' error. I'd like to be able to use these services, but I have no idea why this is going on. What do I need to reconfigure to stop this from happening?

I'm trying to get a webmap of my city's neighborhood organizations together, and I'm running into a problem with zoom levels when searching for a neighborhood. When I type something into the search and select a neighborhood, it zooms far too close to the polygon to be able to really see it. I'm wondering if there's a way to step it out a little? I know I can set a zoom level for the geocoder search, as well as set a zoom level for a point layer, but I see no option for polygon layers. Map can be seen here: ArcGIS Web Application
