I have a layer in an ArcGIS Online Map with a refresh interval set to 5 seconds. When using the Map in Explorer for ArcGIS, the layer doesn't refresh and users have to close the app and reopen it to view the current info. Is there a setting somewhere in the app that needs to be changed?

I am working a guess here but it looks like the GPRMC GeoEvent Definition might be out of order. It looks like the Validity check field should come before the Geometry, unless the connector was built to reorder the fields during processing. If someone from ESRI could chime in here it would be helpful. Thanks for the suggestion. This is actually without a filter sending directly to the tcp-console. I even setup a standalone TCP listener and can see the data coming in: Standalone TCP Listener - pre-geoevent processor $GPGGA,144358.0,4154.891742,N,08818.761683,W,1,06,0.8,206.4,M,-34.0,M,,*64 $GPRMC,144358.0,A,4154.891742,N,08818.761683,W,0.0,359.9,200214,,,A*71 tcp-console - after going through geoevent processor Received Event : NMEAGPGGA,5,02/20/2014 08:37:52 AM,"-88.31268728333333,41.9148789,0.0",1,6,0.8,205.9,M,-34.0,M,,

I am working with the new NMEA adapter and using the socket connector it only appears to be processing the GPGGA message. I have GeoEvent definitions for for all three (GGA, RMC, and GLL) and I know my GPS device is sending all three by sending it to another port. Would there be a reason why only one message type is coming through the GeoEvent Processor? Also, how is the DeviceID assigned? I have 30 vehicles that will be sending in a NMEA signal. Using the GGA message, the device ID shows as 4. How can I correlate this device ID with a Vehicle ID? Thanks in advance. Keith

I have a sharepoint list that is using the ArcGIS plugin. The list allows for attachments and I have them enabled to show in the pop-up. The problem is the link to the attachement doesn't work The link should be http://server/site/Lists/listname/Attachments/5/picture.JPG But is: http://server/site//site/Lists/listname/Attachments/5/picture.JPG You can see the map control is trying to append a relative path to the url of the site. The link to the attachment works from the list, only when accessing through the map control. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I loaded an ArcGIS Dynamic Map service that serves as a single layer in my application. There are white edges being added to the features and text making it look really bad. I pulled the map services into ArcMap and it displays them properly. The imageFormat setting is set for PNG24, I have changed this and tested the other options some are better, some are worse. However, none make the jagged white edges go away. What do I need to do to make these graphical artifacts go away and make the application display it as it was designed in ArcMap? I attached a screenshot

OK, well that's good to know. Does the "Maximum Records Returned by Server" setting, choose which features to return at the time of service start, or by the request of the client? Essentially, would I be able to keep the default setting at 1000 features and set a scale threshold that would effectively limit the amount of records getting returned, or does the server choose the 1000 features when the service is created?

I bumped up the feature limit count and it works, although this is a pilot layer with a subset of the features, the original layer has 220,000 features in it. The on demand mode might be able to work as well, however it appears that can only be set when programming an app, I am using the ArcGIS for iOS app and I don't beleive there is an equivelent setting in there. Thanks for the help though.

I setup a iOS service with an operational layer and a basemap layer. The operational layer only shows a portion of the data in the feature layer. Is there a limit on the number of features the ArcGIS for iOS app can handle? The feature layer has approximatey 2200 records in it and is only showing around 900, maybe 1000. The service appears OK if I pull into ArcMap. But then again, I don't know if ArcMap pulls in the MapServer or the FeatureServer service. Whereas the arcGIS for iOS specifies the FeatureService. Any assistance on this would be great.

What needs to be changed to allow the user to select and update the attributes on multiple features at the same time? This is in regards to the ESRI ArcGIS app. Thanks, Keith

This is to confim Javier's findings that the VGA adapter does not work for the ArcGIS for iOS app. I picked it up yesterday and tried it. Got nothing. And yes apparently the application has be programmed to allow it. I think it amounts to 3 or 4 lines of code. Divesh - Would you be able to make this happen?

I'm having a similar problem that I need to get resolved. I have the client access policy file in place, it is an exact match to the ESRI listed in the troubleshooting link. When I publish the application I can access the map fine through http://myServerName but when I go through http://myServerName.MyDomain.us I receive the Rest endpoint security exception error on all layers. I used fiddler and no errors get reported. When I run the app through visual studio - fiddler shows it read the file and it works When I run the app as http://myServerName - fiddler does not show the CAP file, but app works When I run the app as http://myServerName.MyDomain.us - fiddler does not show the CAP file, and app does not work System.Security.SecurityException on feature services and REST endpoint security exception on map services I can connect through the broswer to the CAP file and each of the Rest endpoints through both http://myServerName and http://myServerName.MyDomain.us The intent on this application is for it to be used by a number of agencies through VPN connections. Any advice is much appreciated. Keith

I am testing out the routing tasks and need to figure out how to do batch routing. I looked in the api and in the RouteParameters Stops Property it states in order to do batch routing I need to add route names to each of my stops. Where does the route name get added, is it an attribute of the graphic stops layer? I tried it under "Name" and "RouteName", but neither worked. The only place in the API that I see the RouteName referenced is as a member of the RouteResult class and that is a getter not a setter as it is post route creation. Thanks in advance, Keith
