I am new in using ArcGIS Monitor. I have to create http counters and alerts in an hundreds-of-arcgis-mapservices environment (dev, staging, preprod, prod). I need to automate this workflow, it can't be done manually.
l saw that there is an API but it seems that it is dedicated to explore log data.

I also had a look at extensions but it seems that it will help me in creating new counters types, not in automating existing counters type setting.

Is there a way to automate http counters settings in ArcGIS Monitor, rather than doing it manually ?

Great news ! it is possible to automatically create a .cpj file, and then to import it following this documentation :

Import existing monitor services—ArcGIS Monitor | Documentation d’ArcGIS Enterprise

It is not possible to automatically create the same HTTP counters for multiple deployments outside of editing the CPJ file. Importing the CPJ file will create a monitoring service with the same inputs as the previous monitoring service, so manual rewrites of the counters will still be necessary.
