When copying text elements/objects I would always Ctrl+Click/drag to duplicate the item. Right now, the only method I can find for duplicating text/objects in Pro is the following:

1. Select the item
2. Right-click,  "Copy"
4. Right-click off the item, "Paste"
6. Click and drag the item to move it where you need it

ArcMap was much faster:

1. Select Item
2. Hold down ctrl and left click/drag the new item where you want it placed.

Not only is this much faster, but it also lets you place the item exactly where you want it, instead of some random spot.

Thanks

@KoryKramer - Thank you, that's great to hear. Any idea when this functionality will be added to Pro? This would save so much time.

This is planned for ArcGIS Pro 2.8 which is scheduled to be available sometime in May.

Hope this helps!

Implemented in ArcGIS Pro 2.8.  It works for layout elements as well as for map graphics.
