It would be very useful to be able to read an Item's existing assigned categories. I have a script that goes through every item in our organization's ArcGIS Online and assigns it to a category based on its spatial reference. If I was able to read an item's existing assigned categories I could filter the items with an if statement to exclude an item if it has already been assigned the category.
