Best method for making basemaps avaliable offline?

Hi all,

Anyone have a best practices process related to publishing basemaps offline for app such as explorer/collector?

I'm interested in a city size area of interest.

Hi Cameron McArtney‌,

There are two ways that I know of making basemaps available offline:

1. Using ArcMap to create a tile package - How to create a tile package

2. The ArcGIS Marketplace has tool called Tile Package Kreator which allows tiles to be downloaded offline with mobile applications.
