Offline Map Area Not Generating

I am trying to create offline map areas in Field Map Designer. I have received zero issues with this map so far in the process of configuring this map for offline use, but when generating a map area, i get an error message stating "Error accessing item ITEM ID" At first, I couldn't search the ID number, but was able to find it when inserting it into the id= section of my URL. The item is the map area i was trying to generate.

Is there a reason the item cannot be accessed and giving me this error, and is there a way I can fix it so that the map area can finally finish packaging.

It might be worth looking into your network traffic when attempting to take an area offline 

1. Open Field Maps Designer.
2. Press F12.
3. Go to the Network tab.
4. Create the offline area again.
5. Look for requests to:

packaging.arcgis.com

 

1. Open the final packaging job URL.
2. View the JSON response.

There might be evidence of an offending layer in any failed request which can help your troubleshooting.

Other things to consider

1. Is your basemap set up for offline usage 
2. Do you have one editable layer
3. Are your layers and basemap in the same coordinate system 
4. How many offline areas have you already created, currently you can create up to 16 predefined areas
