Esri currently offers six massive open online courses (MOOCs). All Esri MOOCs are free and open to learners worldwide. Does a course sound interesting? Sign up for a current offering or join the waiting list for a future offering. 

Cartography.

Once, only cartographers made maps. Today, anyone can. Still, cartographers can teach people to make better maps, just as chefs can show people how to cook better meals. With coaching from experienced cartographers and practical, hands-on exercises using ArcGIS Pro, you'll become a smarter mapmaker, ready to go beyond the defaults and make better maps.

 

About the Course

Cartography. (Cartography period) lasts six weeks and requires a minimum of two to three hours of study per week. Weekly course sections consist of videos, hands-on exercises, a quiz, a discussion and other interactive activities. Students will receive free access to ArcGIS Pro software during the course. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the course.

The Location Advantage

Weekly course sections consist of consist of videos, hands-on exercises, a quiz, a discussion and other interactive activities. Students receive free access to ArcGIS Online and Business Analyst Web App software during the course. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the course.

Do-It-Yourself Geo Apps

Next offering: July 29–August 26, 2020

 

You don’t have to be a software developer to build valuable geo-enabled apps that make your communities smarter and businesses more successful. This course will show you how to combine location and narrative in one application to better communicate and broadcast your story, create custom web applications that solve problems in your community, and build powerful native applications for iOS and Android devices without touching a piece of code. If you are a developer, you’ll be interested in Esri’s APIs, SDKs, and the buzzing GeoDev community.

About the Course

Do-It-Yourself Geo Apps lasts four weeks and requires a minimum of two to three hours of study per week. Weekly course sections consist of videos, hands-on exercises, a quiz, a discussion and other interactive activities. Students will receive free access to ArcGIS Online software and developer tools during the course. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the course.

 

 

Going Places with Spatial Analysis

This course is for people who know something about data analysis and want to learn about the special capabilities of spatial data analysis. Spatial analysis focuses on location to gain a deeper understanding of data. Spatial analysis skills are in high demand by organizations around the world. Previous experience with GIS software is helpful, but not necessary.

Spatial Data Science: The New Frontier in Analytics

Next offering: October 28–December 9, 2020
Spatial data science allows analysts to extract deeper insight from data using a comprehensive set of analytical methods and spatial algorithms, including machine learning and deep learning techniques. This course explores the application of spatial data science to uncover hidden patterns and improve predictive modeling. You'll work with powerful analytical tools and learn how to integrate popular open data science packages into your analyses.

Weekly course sections consist of a video discussion, hands-on exercises, a quiz, a discussion and other interactive activities. Students will receive free access to ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Notebooks software during the course. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the course.

Earth Imagery at Work
