Hello. I have a GNSS collection project in the St. Louis, MO area. I am based in AL however so am often out of state while observing collection, or having to test new DB configurations. When I try and load my MO maps in Collector, I receive an error message that the "Layer loading timed out". I am new to Collector, is there a reason why I would…(Show moreShow less)
Here you go -- Domain: NSURLErrorDomain Code: -1001 Description: The request timed out. URL: https://gistemp.magnolia-river.com/arcgis/rest/services/MOAW/GISPubMOAWCollectorTest/FeatureServer/0?f=json&returnAdvancedSymbols=true
With every GIS app that I've used to add features (points or polygons), you click on the map location where you'd like to add a point or start drawing. With the new version of Collector, one must move the map to crosshairs. Does anyone else find this awkward? There is a rather cumbersome workaround that allows you to first drop a pin and then…(Show moreShow less)
Hi Nick, The new way of digitizing vertices (points, lines, or polys) in the new Collector is extremely cumbersome and annoying in geologic mapping workflows. I commonly drop points at locations that I am NOT standing at or near. I also digitize a lot of lines in the field, commonly of places I can see from where I am but not near my GPS point,…
Currently using ArcGIS Enterprise with Portal. 10.6.1. Using ArcGIs Pro2.3.3 to publish services, and subsequent web maps used on iPad tablets. ArcGis Collector classic works fine. The new version of Collector will allow us to add features, however, it only adds the record to the feature table, and not the map. The new collector app also won't…(Show moreShow less)
I have a feature layer with a related table that I'm successfully able to populate via ArcCollector. I'm wondering if there is a way to edit/delete these records in ArcGIS Online. It looks like I can edit the feature layer and I can delete fields in the related table, but I am not able to actually delete a record in the table. Thanks!
I recently upgraded my iOS devices to the new version of Collector. Now, when I go to add a new record in any of my related tables I get an error that says, "No collectable layers are visible." I can see the related table name and I can click on it, but when I click "Add" the error pops up. I do not get this error in Collector Classic. Are there…(Show moreShow less)
It appears to be any related tables. We have a very simple app with one point feature class and a related table for inspections. It works fine in Classic, but the related tables are not viewable in the new Collector.
Veronica, We are very happy to hear that this has enhanced your field workflows. Please don't hesitate to throw some more great ideas at us (via Geonet, Support, conferences or feedback within the app). Colin
Hello all, Was wondering if someone could shed some light on an error my organization is seeing intermittently when attempting to download offline areas in Collector Classic. I have attached the error we are seeing on 2 different maps shared with different groups via our organization's enterprise portal. The failure message reads as follows:…(Show moreShow less)
On two projects lately I have run into the same error when trying to take a map offline. Sync and permissions are right, I can get through setting the work area extents, once I choose my extents I get the following message in a pop-up: Map failed to download The map '[Map Title]' failed to download with the message: Attempt to invoke virtual…(Show moreShow less)
I'm having the exact same issue. I think it has to do with vector tile basemaps. I can download the standard "World Imagery" correctly, but I cannot download the world imagery + vector tile reference layer. I think until the beta version of collector for Android has the ability to on-demand download offline areas (as oppose to pre-setting of…
