ArcPad has been installed on this Trimble Geo7x for some time now, and has recently stopped connecting to the GNSS server. Anyone know the correct GNSS settings for ArcPad 10.2 to work with this device. It is currently set on Com3 baun 4800 with ArcPad as the means to connect (Com3 is the GNSS server port on the Timble device). Is this the correct…(Show moreShow less)
Hi! In the classroom, we have ArcMap 5 on Windows 7 Professional. This configuration supports ArcPad checkout and check-in. At home I installed ArcMap 5.1 on Windows 10. I do not find the ArcPad extensions.
I've noticed the our lines will randomly disappear when on Arcpad. This usually happens when the map is zoomed in past a scale of 1:500 or 50 ft. We're currently using ArcPad 10.2 on a Geo7X and PC. I was curious to see if others have had the same experience or knew of a fix. Thank you.
When I attempt to check out shapefiles (I'm using data collected several years ago) located in a file geodatabase in ArcPad Manager, ArcMap crashes immediately--no spinning circles, just "ArcMap has stopped working." I have tried every configuration possible: checking out for disconnected editing, background data (shapefile), background data…(Show moreShow less)
Sorry for the delay in replying to this. After much back-and-forthing with a nice person at ESRI (in which he was baffled as well), he sent me a clean copy of ArcPad and I reinstalled it. The procedure worked after that, at least for this problem. There are others....
I ended up poking around in google earth. This worked for me: Renamed to .NMEA then Tools--> GPS --> Import from file, [rather than the File--> import menu.] I can import them all at once, and then export them from google earth. My own batch processor. Thanks.
Hi, when I go into the Layers / Table of Contents and Quick-Capture tab, it is supposed to let you check the boxes to choose which layers will show up on the QuickCapture toolbar. I do this, but when I return to the main map screen, nothing in the QuickCapture toolbar has actually changed. All the layers are still showing in QuickCapture toolbar.…(Show moreShow less)
I just tried a few different dataset's on Windows (some with AXF layers, some with shapefile's, some with one symbol for the whole layer and some with different symbols for different features in the layer) and I was able to switch quick capture tools on and off very neatly, and as expected. Are you on Windows or Windows Mobile? On Windows Mobile…
Hello, I'm trying to get the World Imagery Aerial map to show up on my phone, but it doesn't seem to be working. I followed the instructions on creating a map, but I don't know how to get it to show up on the Collector mobile app.
From the clues in you post, it seems in your in the wrong place on GeoNet to ask this quesiton - you might be better off in Collector for ArcGIS. Also you might need to give a few more clues, eg: is that you have a different basemap other than World Imagery working? or no basemap? Is your device connected to the internet or not? Are you on iOS…
I am looking to make two toolbars in Arcpad that when one toolbar is being used it turns a layer to editable and the other layer that can be edited off, then when the other toolbar is being used it turns on a different layer to be edited and any other layers that can be edited off.
