I am trying to find out the area of land that is lost due to the expansion of an existing road in mountainous terrain. Suppose, the road width needs to be increased from 40 ft to 80 ft, how do I go about calculating the area of land lost to this road. I am sure the additional 40 ft expansion doesn't mean 400 sq ft if the length of the road were to…(Show moreShow less)

Hi, i have a points file of employees and i want to find the a "central" location between them by the road. I want to find the shortess displacement for everybody to open a new office. I don't have any potential location yet. Any ideas?
Another quick estimate can be obtained using the Central Feature tool with Manhattan Distance selected. Once you have a general central location, you can look for appropriate new office facilities. I hope this helps!
