I am trying to migrate an ArcSDE Geodatabase from one database server to another. i am doing that using Oracle Dumps for the Geodatabase schemas (SDE,...etc).
The Source Geodatabase:
ArcSDE 10.0 Service Pack 5
Oracle 11gR2 (11.2.0.3.5)
Server: IBM AIX 6.1
after successfully importing the dumps to the destination database server, when i try to connect to the Geodatabase either using ArcCatalog 10.0 or 10.1 i receive the following error message:
This release of Geodatbase is either invalid or out of date.
DBMS table not found [ORA-00942: table or view does not exist]
[SDE.GDB_Release]
please note that i am not installing (ArcSDE binaries) on the destination database server, my intention is to have a 2-tier architecture.
Any Suggestions ?
