I am using ArcGis explorer for a while now and every time I download a newer version in hope of .ecw file support just to be disappointed. Cant you just make a add in or plug in for that file support because the compression and un compression of it is much better than BIL. Or tiff file format as I must wait 3-5 min before it stopped streaming and the quality of the map is much more define as I am working with sea bathy images. My computer spec is Intel I3 2.4 gig with 4 gig ram and 320gbit hard drive.
