I was told by a ESRI technical support analyst that it was possible to geo-reference old historical aerials using linked displays in arcgis pro. He unfortunately does not work for them so his contact info is no longer valid. What I'm trying to do is use the dual maps or linked displays to find a point on my historic image and then find the same point on my current image without having both images in the same map. If you have ever worked with imagery like this you know how cumbersome it is to pan and zoom and try to match up similar points if you cannot see them at the same time. I've used ERDAS imagine in the past for this and it works great however our imagery services will not work with ERDAS since they are ESRI based. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
