Roadmap for XML format on query response from a web service

To ESRI,

When doing a query on a Feature/Map service the main format choices on the results/output are HTML and JASON. Is their any consideration to an XML format for the output.

ESRI uses JSON for structured data.  I think that you have no chance of getting them to support XML.
