I have been working on a few custom widgets for the Web App Builder, but I would like some input as to what widget/functionality people are wanting most.

The WAB has several great OTB widgets but what (realistic) widgets are missing and would be (in your opinion) great to have?

I like the Snapshot widget in FlexViewer so much. It will be great to have it in Web AppBuilder. Thanks a lot!

Rose,

I have been looking into this type of widget and it is not looking very hopeful the way that the JS API handles the map (in Flex this was very easy).

Thanks Robert for your quick reply!

We love the Snapshot widget in FlexViewer which can generate geo-referenced images. Keep up with your great work, maybe you will find a solution to implement it one day:)

Thanks a lot

Rose

Rose, although not exactly what you are looking for, your can create geoPDF's thru the print widget....although you may have to have a custom print service, but the default print service may also have it by default (I think it does....but can't remember, since we also needed some customization so created a custom print service on our local ArcGIS Server)

I think a couple of good widget possibilities would be a Static Image Widget and then maybe something like a "Contact Us" widget that lets a user submit questions/comments about the map and it is E-mailed to the appropriate people.

Hi Luke,

Here is an option for the Contact Us.  I used the About widget built into WAB and added some text with the mailto: link into it.  I created a new icon (folder) and renamed the widget links.

Thanks Nicholas,

I had been looking into configuring the About widget for that purpose this morning but I hadn't really gotten around to messing with it. I appreciate the information. That certainly helps.

Dear Santa,

I would like to be able to advanced sort (on 2 or more fields) in WAB.

Hi Robert ,

I have couple of ideas ,

1. A Help widget to fetch the files from Local computer or Internet or Cloud , which is very similar to Link List in Flex Viewer.

2, A Widget which takes a input from any URL which holds multiple features on multiple layers and highlight it to its extents.

Hi Robert,

A widget that allows you to georeference and image on the
map would be super awesome! ESRI has a link to a sample demo app in Silverlight. is this possible with HTML5 and JavaScript? http://serverapps.esri.com/SilverlightDemos/GeoReference/

Thank you.
