So we have created this very simple web app for young students, https://geoport.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=b2a600044ded4d07a0beee6db671f291
We want anyone to be able to open the page and use the directions widget.
You can give public access (use your credits) to the directions widget (used in web app).
What link should be added to make this work?

Barbaree,

In the link you provided it explains what you must do.

The Consume credits iconConsume credits means the layer consumes credits. Check the Use proxy check box to allow public users access to a layer through your subscription. Optionally, set Request Limit and Interval to control the usage.

Thank you for the reply.  Unfortunately, this is about the directions widget.  There is not a layer.

Sorry I posted the wrong portion.

If you want to share your secure service item with the public, for example, as part of a public web app, store the credentials with the item so the public is not required to log in to access your app. See ArcGIS Server web services for more information.
