Hi.

Does anyone know if there is any custom widget that lets the user find/filter the layers on the TOC by the layer name ?

We have like 100 layers and the TOC is really unusable, as it is now.

Thanks.

Are you trying to build an application that satisfies multiple business needs across multiple departments?  if so, maybe you can build more targeted apps that only need a subset of your 100 layers to make the TOC more useful in each app.

Hi Michael.

Need to have all those layers in the TOC in ONE map

Thanks for replying though.

Bledar,

There is no custom widget available that does this (to my knowledge). If I ever get some free time I will look into how hard this additional code would be to add to the LayerList Widget.

Robert:

Would the filter for the LayerList Widget you might create translate into those layers also being filtered from a print-out?

Michael,

No, it would only be visually filtering the toc tree to allow you to find a leaf or a branch in the toc. It would not actually change the status of any of the layers.

Yes correctly.

Thanks Robert for your help.
