Chat Widget for web app?

Try this again (wrong section before...):

I work in Search and Rescue and recently was involved in a SAR involving two agencies separated by 100 miles. Although we couldn't use it at the time, I've since been put together an AGOL web app such that we can share a common operating picture in the future. Because of the dynamic nature of information, clues and investigation needs, I thought it useful to be able to add a Chat function such that notes and comments can be posted in readiness for scheduled conference calls and for exchange of names, phone numbers etc. during those calls. I see where this is possible using the operations dashboard, but wonder if it's possible to insert a line of, say, javascript to invoke one of the free chat apps into an existing AGOL web app? Or is there some other solution? I could embed the web app into a web page, then insert the code into the HTML, but it would be nice to have it as integral to the web app.

Many thanks for any ideas or solutions.

George

George,

If you have some library or Chat code available to you then creating a custom widget for this would not be to hard.
