Does anyone have an idea why the edit geometry functionality does not appear when I enable it in the settings? The layer is editable but try as I might I cannot get the tools to turn on.

I would check the feature service properties and make sure 'Allow Geometry Updates' is checked for the service.
It is set to update geometry and it is editable in the web map. I'm stumped.
